At least Dawson mentioned Tavoris Cloud as a potential opponent if he gets past Johnson. That's what I like to hear. No complaints from me. Seems like a contradiction to Shaw answering Jack Loew's challenge with Pavlik though. Lol.

Dawson needs to stop trying to fight guys past their primes or retired. I used to defend him but he seems to be afraid of tough challenges, he'd rather fight the Tarvers and Johnsons of the world or call out a retired Calzaghe.

He just said he would fight Cloud if he gets past Johnson, he would fight Ward at 168, and he would fight Bute in Montreal. What the hell else do you want? Tarver, Johnson, Dawson, Woods, Hopkins were the top 5 LHW's. Tarver and Johnson were top 3, FANS wanted those fights although now they backtrack and say he fought them old, he STILL fought top 3 LHW's. Woods got beaten by Tarver so take him out of the picture and you have Tarver vs Dawson it HAD to happen, there was no ifs ands or buts,, the FANS wanted to see that fight. He beats Johnson and Tarver, the top of the damn LHW division twice each. Now he's going to take on another top 5 LHW Jean Pascal. What more can you ask for? Cloud who had nobody under his belt and just recently added a shot Woods? Now he's going for the same old Johnson you say was tool old for Dawson? I don't think he's even gonna get past that 'old man'.

Nobody from 168-175 can beat Dawson. Period. Now Ward, not Dirrell, not Cloud, not Pascal, not Bute, certainly not Froch, Kessler, Green, Abraham. Nobody beats Dawson.

Who is underrated and who is overrated..

Dude your from montreal and i know how people love him over there, but there is no way Bute is so underrated that that he is better then a great fighter in Dawson.

Your wrong about that Hatton/Haye thing... Pascal should lose even if he's from Montreal and i don't care. Bute is underrated while Dawson is overrated, just like Jacobs was, but it's ok cause the media are selling those guys. When David Lemieux fought Elvin Ayala, Teddy Atlas told everyone that Lemieux would lose and that he wasn't good enough for Ayala. But the fight was won KO 1 by Lemieux who is also UNDERRATED.

Agreed. The kid is talented no doubt, but he can't even sell out his hometown arenas. Of course he says he'd fight in the opponent's hometown, no one would show up otherwise lol. I don't like that he's trying to call Calzaghe out of retirement, but at least he put Ward, Cloud, and Bute out there. Ward is tied up until the end of the Super 6, but a fight with Bute sounds pretty interesting.

Honestly, Cloud is the only fight out there I care to see. I want to see him in a tough fight.

He got two pretty big paydays against tarvar and one against Johnson. HBO paid A LOT for the 2nd, unwanted by anyone tarvar fight.

None of the fights sold any seats, and all 3 were boring. If he fights in another 1 sided boring fight HBO will probably let him go. And IMO to be in a good entertaining fight, he needs Cloud.

I'm not saying that I don't think Dawson is any good. I just think it is ****** to even mention Calzaghe at all at this point. I give him credit for fighting Pascal and mentioning Cloud though. He should go after Shumenov or Murat or Cloud. If he winds up seeking another over the hill guy, I'm through with him. I realize that his division is ind of weak but he fights like once a year and for the past 2 years, has not faced a fresh guy. It seems like forever since the Adamek fight.

Dawson is backed by HBO, that means he's getting paid close to $2 million regardless... even if there's 1 person in attendance . $2 million every fight is more than 99% of boxers, attendance just means extra paper .

That's how good and confident Chad is, he'll still go to your favorite 168-175 pound fighters' hometown and whoop their ass so bad that they can't steal it away from him. Pascal in Montreal, Ward in Oakland, Bute in Montreal, Cloud in Tallahassee, Hopkins in Philly, Calzaghe in Cardiff = Complete ownage. Haters = .

I don't think people get it. He is without a doubt THE BEST boxer not named FMJ. He is number 3 p4p after Manny and Floyd if he fought a little more. None at 175 or 168 is ****ing with him. Bute and Ward come the closest though. Those are the fights I want to see. Also beat on Cloud just so people can STFU.
