Running away from a fighter who only fights once every 10 years? Why would Dawson even go backwards in his career by fighting Cloud over Johnson and Tarver? it would have made no sense whatsoever. Cloud now has a chance to make SOME noise so hopefully he doesn't screw it up again. Cloud doesn't get big fights because of himself.

To hell with Calzaghe, he won't come back now. If he did, doubtful anybody would get props for defeating him. If Bute wants to step up to 175 than he can be a good opponent for Chad, even though I think he gets beat clearly. That fight is a closer at 168 if Dawson can get down and stay healthy. I expect whoever wins Dawson-Pascal to fight Cloud next if that fight don't go to a rematch. If Chad can beat Pascal and Cloud, he's cleaned out 175. It's just about waiting for other SMW's to move up after that.

I'm from Montreal and i know Pascal and Bute. First Montreal reputation is fine, anybody who talks against that great city is an :*******:. Pascal is not as good as Bute. It would take two Pascal to beat one Bute, if Chad beat Pascal... he must win an "easy" fight to have a chance against Bute. Bute is underrated, if he would fight from the USA he would be respected. All the people talk about is the first fight with Andrade. In the second fight Bute KO'D Andrade with ONE body punch. Bute would beat Chad and i would like to see that fight.

Running away from Cloud? He agreed to fight him but HBO did not want anything to do with the fight. And he also had rematch clauses to deal with.

I personally think Dawson needs to focus on Pascal before thinking about all of these guys. Pascal is a very good LHW. Yes he was outboxed by Froch, but Froch has a very good, long jab and he is an awkward fighter. Pascal also didn't really use his advantages as much back then.

Agreed. The kid is talented no doubt, but he can't even sell out his hometown arenas. Of course he says he'd fight in the opponent's hometown, no one would show up otherwise lol. I don't like that he's trying to call Calzaghe out of retirement, but at least he put Ward, Cloud, and Bute out there. Ward is tied up until the end of the Super 6, but a fight with Bute sounds pretty interesting.

Dude your from montreal and i know how people love him over there, but there is no way Bute is so underrated that that he is better then a great fighter in Dawson.
