It's possible Pirog watched that You Tube video where Jacobs claimed Pirog had not knocked anyone out.He was just probably getting back at JacobsIf there one remarkable performance on Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, it came from Dmitry Pirog (17-0, 14KOs) of Russia, who stopped Daniel Jacobs with a single right hand in fifth round to capture the WBO middleweight title. Priog said none of Jacobs' punches had a lot of power behind them. He saw Jacobs wobble in the second round and knew he could hurt him again. [Click Here To Read More]Comment

Look how Pirog KO'd Danny. He switched between southpaw and orthodox 3 times with each step. Danny never saw that punch because of the angele and the placemnt. Pirog is pure class, my goodness I was right about him being a future superstar. Just have to wait more for Danny to season himself up.Comment

No way that ref could let him get up and take more punishment , he did the right thing .
Pirog was gonna do permenant damage if the ref had let the fight continue . After Danny watches the fight and he gets over losing his "0" he'll realize that the ref did him a big favor ! Damn a Russian with that kind of power with an American style of boxing ...........
AMAZING !!!!!!Comment

Damn SBP I never saw this coming. I thought Danny was the stud, turns out you were right. Pirog mixes the best of the euro and american styles and he switches stances like Hagler. The kid has a great future, can't wait to see him against Martinez, Lemeiux, Golovkin etc.Look how Pirog KO'd Danny. He switched between southpaw and orthodox 3 times with each step. Yeah bro I said this bout could be our Hopkins-Jones because these two guys have the potential to be superstars. I didn't realize just how much closer to superstardom Pirog was than Danny though. He is so well polished and so comfortable in the ring, I wasn't suprised, but I was even more impressed than I thought I would be. Danny is still a stud in my eyes, speed, power when he sits on his punches, and a ****load of upside. I just believe Pirog was much closer to where he needs to be where Danny was. There is still a ton DJ needs to work on (mainly his balance, his defense after throwing combos AND KEEPING HIS ****ING HANDS UP) but after a few more years of seasoning he will be taking over the divison.Damn SBP I never saw this coming.
