It is very rare for me to comment on something like this, but this has to be one of the most biased posts I have ever read on these boards. The post is so bad that is destroys any credibility in your posts towards Benn or Eubanks. Only beat up blown up guys? Several of his big wins were over opponents that moved up to higher weights. Including Glen Johnson, Syd Vanderpool and Antwon Echols. Robert Allen is a very dangerous middlweight, so was Eastman. I'm no Hopkins fan, but the guy is easily one of top 5 greatest middleweights of all-time. Only Greb, Robinson, Monzon and Hagler rank above him.
what about Sugar Ray Leonard? his hand speed has to be one of the greatest of all time.
I'm not saying he had the longevity but still if we base it on skill he's gotta be above Benard
The era was garbage, but that is not Hopkin's fault that it took 10 years for a threat to come along. Let's not forget that Hopkins at almost 41, came close to putting a 26 year old rising star away in the final rounds.

Above Bernard? Leonard fought at middleweight 4 times! Two of the fights some fans thought he lost. The Hearns rematch was a robbery and one of the other two was against an old Duran.
Bernard Hopkins, the guy who was unknown for the first 13 years of his career, the guy who lost on his pro debut in the 80's against a club fighter. That dirty, brawling guy is suddenly better than Sugar Ray Robinson and Marvellous Marvin Hagler? Why, because he smiles at people at ringside during a fight? FFS.

Where do you get this from? I said Hopkins is ranked 5th, behind Robinson, Greb, Monzon and Hagler...in that order.

Now you've got your fingers in your ears and aren't even responding to what's being said to you, just spouting biased non sense like a crap slot machine paying out.
Do yourself and everyone here a favor, turn off your PC, and watch a Nigel Benn fight or something.
I had to listen to Lampley and Merchant all night, and I don't need to hear anymore of this bull ****.
I think Jermain should man up and move to hw. He can try and take the WBA belt from Ruiz, a real fighter. Especially considering all that **** he was talking.

Well he never aspired to be a reigning king... but
You gotta say that Leonard had some great moments..
If we're talking the greatest middleweights of all time... then
you gotta go on skill at their prime...
Sugar Ray Leonard's handspeed is one of the fastest
And if you include Marvelous Marvin then you gotta include Sugar Ray L.
Besides if it wasnt for that DARNED DETACHED RETINA!! He woulda been sick.
He's somewhat of a ... Barry Sanders of Boxing... flashes of greatness ... never had the longevity. one could only imagine what he woulda done in a long healthy career.
JuyJuy, what a disgrace you are to reason. What a true blue moron you are, disgracing yourself as you have finally found a nut, you old blind squirrel. Congratulations and don't choke on the shell.
