I can't believe I read defense takes very little skill... it's very easy.
Just wow.
Yeah because it's very hard to learn bad habits once you learn defense. It's like riding a bike. Offense is MUCH harder by far.
Plus, I was watching a lot of Pernell's fights recently and realized he commits a lot of fouls- specificially you are not allowed to repeatedly slip punches, or roll/duck, with your head under the waistline generally. Pernell did that foul A LOT. Also, turning your back on your opponent is a foul too. The way he fought just wasn't really clean. I used to get warned a lot for those things. I was a green amateur of course, but somebody like Pernell should not have had his head that low so much, it's just not fair.
This thread literally brought me to tears. It's so pathetic that it's impossible not to laugh. I mean the guy said "defense takes very little skill... it's very easy", and expects someone to take him serious.
is Pac a great fighter? Yes, and he very well may be the best southpaw in boxing. But the most skilled of all time? He isn't even the most skilled of all active fighters. That title belongs to Chad Dawson.
As for the comparisons to Sweat Pea and The Marvelous One? I can't even take those serious. I mean really, it's beyond sad. Hell, Pacquiao isn't even as skilled as Camacho or Winky, and the list goes on.
Also, TS is getting greatness mixed up with skill.
