His entire career is based off a tainted Miguel Cotto stoppage. I say tainted not because I think he cheated, but because the general public thinks he did. It's a sad day when the best win on your resume was a TKO loss and the entire boxing world wants a rematch.

07-14-2007- Margarito fails to beat a green version of Paul Williams. His punch output (his ONLY weapon) wasn't enough to beat this green Williams and with no talent to fall back on, there was nothing he could do but chalk up an L.

01-24-2009- Margarito faces the biggest name on his resume by going head to head with Shane Mosley who had previously looked like complete **** in his fight against Ricardo Mayorga. Before the fight there's a huge controversy surrounding Margarito's handwraps. For some odd reason Margarito thought he needed to cheat against Mosley despite being a heavy favorite. After receiving a thorough career changing ass whooping at the hands of the aging Mosley, Margarito is suspended for one year due to the handwraps.

05-08-2010- Margarito makes his return to the ring. Of course he's fighting in Mexico because he can't fight in the US. He puts on a disgusting performance. His stans will try to convince you he's "getting rounds in" but the truth is he had to change his whole style. Why? There can only be two reasons: 1.) Mosley has struck fear into this once Mexican "warrior" or 2.) He doesn't feel confident without his plaster (just like in the Mosley fight). I am not one of those who thinks he cheated his whole career as there is no proof. The fact is, that ****ty resume doesn't need plaster for wins.

Easy to call a fighter "garbage" when pretty much all of the top 5-10 guys of his division blatantly ducked him for like 5 years straight starting from Judah, Baldomir, Mayorga, Spinks, Forrest, Mayweather, DeLaHoya...not much that man could do but to fight the best he could during his prime years yet only get beaten by Paul Williams which nobody else wanted to fight at that time whether "green" or not, and against a PED abuser Mosley who rejuvenated his career that night by injecting an insanely dose of Dope to his body and have his trainer create a whole dog and pony show about plaster just to get Margarito out of his game plan. If Margarito was black and had above average handspeed,he'd have been touted as the greatest thing since sliced bread.Instead,Margarito worked for everything he got,without being blessed with great physical capabilities.

Margarito fought everyone, Clottey, Cotto, Williams, Mosley and he is about to fight Pacquaio.

You could very easily say he beat P. Williams in what was a very close fight, he beat Clottey and Cotto and was destroyed by Mosley.

The bottom line is, I wouldn't say he's a great fighter but he has a great chin and great heart and those are two things that are tough to come by. He isn't a guy that guys take for granted, believe me when I say this.

Even Mosley prior to Marg fighting Cotto was on video saying he didn't want to fight Marg, that he was a tough matchup for anyone. DLH didn't want to fight him, Mayweather didn't either.

It's easy now in retrospect to call him trash but in reality he is one tough mother ***er who will give almost anyone problems. I think Pac and Mayweather destroy him but as far as the rest of the 154lbers, he will give them ALL trouble.

Nah, you couldn't say he beat Williams, because he lost the first six rounds clear as day, and ost round 12 big. I am inclined to believe that even Michelle Margarito thinks her husband lost to a literally green Paul Williams.

I had Williams winning as well because he started off too slow but he did much more damage than P. Williams and I don't think he was as green as you make him out to be because his style was the same. He beat Marg on punch output, nothing more.

Both men landed easily and it was apparent that Marg can take P. Will's shot better than P. Will could take Marg's.

Again, I had Williams winning but it wasn't a beat down or a one sided fight. If Marg starts earlier in that fight, he would have beat Williams.
