Antonio Margarito is a garbage fighter.
His entire career is based off a tainted Miguel Cotto stoppage. I say tainted not because I think he cheated, but because the general public thinks he did. It's a sad day when the best win on your resume was a TKO loss and the entire boxing world wants a rematch.
Antonio Margarito is a C fighter at best and the man has no talent.
The biggest name on his resume is Shane Mosley
07-14-2007- Margarito fails to beat a green version of Paul Williams.
His punch output (his ONLY weapon) wasn't enough to beat this green Williams and with no talent to fall back on, there was nothing he could do but chalk up an L.
01-24-2009- Margarito faces the biggest name on his resume by going head to head with Shane Mosley who had previously looked like complete **** in his fight against Ricardo Mayorga. Before the fight there's a huge controversy surrounding Margarito's handwraps. For some odd reason Margarito thought he needed to cheat against Mosley despite being a heavy favorite. After receiving a thorough career changing ass whooping at the hands of the aging Mosley, Margarito is suspended for one year due to the handwraps.
05-08-2010- Margarito makes his return to the ring. Of course he's fighting in Mexico because he can't fight in the US. He puts on a disgusting performance. His stans will try to convince you he's "getting rounds in" but the truth is he had to change his whole style. Why? There can only be two reasons: 1.) Mosley has struck fear into this once Mexican "warrior" or 2.) He doesn't feel confident without his plaster (just like in the Mosley fight). I am not one of those who thinks he cheated his whole career as there is no proof. The fact is, that ****ty resume doesn't need plaster for wins.
