Thanks Osiris for saving me the time and setting the record straight before I had to do it myself. I have said it before and I will say it again: I cannot believe there are still people out there trying to say there was really nothing at all dangerous in his wraps and that the commission found nothing but rolled up gauze, or soome other lame **** like that. What part of "We found sulfur and calcium AKA plaster in his wraps. We analyzed it with a STEREOSCOPIC MICROSCOPE." is ambiguous or not understandable to the deniers? The commission basically went CSI on the substance to determine what it was...it was plaster. Period, end of story. Plaster.
It's like the commission could have said "Yeh, so we found this solid substance in the wraps made of aluminum and iron. We analyzed it with a stereoscope." And Margs fans would still be saying "So what, all it is is aluminum and iron...what's that?" It would be known as steel.
I'm surprised no genuises on this board have taken it upon themselves to conduct an unscientific experiment by wrapping their hands and inserting some rolled up gauze in there that has been covered in dry plaster before being rolled up and maybe even wetted just slightly, then putting on some gloves and hitting a bag for a while and working up a sweat. I would actually be very curious to hear what happens...whether after a while the insert would begin to harden like a cast would pretty much, or if nothing at all would happen. I will say that in the footage I have seen of the hearing where they pulled out the insert it looked SOLID and HARD. Not like a rolled up piece of gauze and thats all. It looked stiff and solid, for sure.Comment

Good post above ^^^, bottom line is there shouldn't be anything in the gloves, period, or it's cheating. I don't care if you find a fluffy pancake in there. It's cheating.Comment

actually a state would make a killing in revenue if this fight happend there.Arum says anything, like "other states are reaching out" to bolster his case, but if anybody is reaching out, it's for money. Why, if there was a state that mattered, reaching out to give Margarito a license, doesn't he take it and go fight there. Arum is just being silly with these statements and I wish he'd stop.

Even with the evidence in front of them they will still say the same "so what, thats nothing, he did nothing wrong he is not a cheater" thats when you cannot respect these people because they dont care about another athlete's health and lives. Your post was right on point. Still they will forever be in denialThanks Osiris for saving me the time and setting the record straight before I had to do it myself. . I dont know why they back and respect other Mexican fighters like Marquez and the other greats still in today. No but they want the cheater since he beat the best "with plaster" they want that win so bad that they will eat out their own shht to back him. So sad. Great Post NWO, green k for you!!

Right now Margarito is a gold mine.
He's Pacquiao bound and that means big money for whatever state he fights in.
They'll license him for sure.Comment

Tony is Mexican but he's not Mexico dumbass! *** dude you know how many acts of corruption I could rattle off about boxing matches in the United States?
*** dude in the 40's 50's and 60's it wasn't out of the ordinary for the winners of boxing matches to be decided before the fight actually happened because so many fighters were mobbed up. It was like pro ***ing wrestling for awhile there.
***ing hypocrite! You should look at your own countries shady ass past before you go and call other countries boxing commission corrupt.[/QUOTE]
The guy's a Mexican national, probably having inherited citizenship from his parents, or on going to live there assumed citizenship. He was actually born in the States.
On another topic.....what goes on in the little, diseased mind of that "wanna-be" poor man's (bad) imitation of a gangster??? He's damn sick, and should be checked into a padded cell establishment.
He can't bear the thought that Arum works for money, he should do it al for free, I suppose. Doesn't this creepy-crawler work for money, and likely as little work as possibe, (maybe even a free-loader on tax paying society) I suppose he wouldn't lift a finger to save someone's life if he didn't think there might be something in it for HIM.......
I don't know whether he hates ARUM because he's a ***, or because he has money, (or both) never mind the millions he gives to charities all over the world every year....and HE PAYS HIS TAXES TOO..........AND has been the very top promoter of the past 40 years, bringing us unforgettable top match-ups. Unlike this "Vito Corleone", who doesn't mind taking advantage of them.
Why the hell doesn't the administrator block him from bringing all his racist, poisonous drek into what used to be the very best boxing site on the internet.Comment

I was rather surprised until I realised that the system printed the first 2 1/2 paragraphs (until the word "quote) of another poster's letter, which I was answering...phew.Comment

It seems that Margarito did not experiment by putting powdered plaster of paris on his fists, either wetted or not. The evidence showed that the inserts were OLD, already used. Thanks Osiris for saving me the time and setting the record straight before I had to do it myself. Maybe Arum can be blamed somehow for this. They should have been NEW, UNUSED.....
Also I'm glad to learn something new all the time. This time is that the inserts were "analysed" with a stereoscopic microscope. I didn't kow that this could be done. Poor me, wrong all these years. When I was a kid in med school we had stereoscopic microscopes, and they were pretty battered and ancient then, at least they had TWO integrated eyepieces. What they DID....or DO, it to give a 3 dimensional image of whatever is being inspected. I never heard that they analysed things. What they DO do, is to further inspect and help evaluate the result of an analysis.
In Margarito's case this wasn't done, instead they inspected the inserts thoroughly, (as would be done with a stereo-mick) and determined from that inspection, that is was a plaster-like item.
I keep wondering how Arum might be blamed for this. Maybe by saying (without any evidence) that it's all his fault, because he loves money.......????Comment
