vargas was that good, not comparing stylewise but u could compare him to miguel cotto

a good technical fighter with very good power who got ruined in one fight and was never the same, in fact back in the day vargas had a pretty good chin so it was a shock when he got knocked down the first two times.

dlh got beat up bad against the ropes but he was faster and sharper with his punches which one him the fight

mosley barely won the first fight honestly, two judges had a one point lead for mosley and the third judge had a one point lead for vargas. in the last two rounds vargas couldnt even see out of that grotesquely swollen eye

vargas was competing with hall of fame fighters and anyone who saw the dlh, tito or mosley fight (first one) knows how competitive those fights were.
