I don't know if he would have been an all time great, but arguments can be made he would have had a better career had Trinidad not ruined him. He certainly had the talent and confidence before Tito ko'd him. After that he was a different fighter. I always wondered how the fight with DLH would have turned out had Felix NOT knocked Vargas out.

Though his was tough, I'm not sure Vargas had the mental toughness to get much further than he did. I do feel he was rushed and shouldn't have been thrown in with Tito yet.

That's a real good point. However, he was so damn talented. Just so happened to run into Felix Trinidad at his very peak and got smashed.

The point was you are viewing him after the Tito fight. You have to judge him before the Tito fight and it doesn't seem as if you have ever watched him pre-Tito, he was a fantastic talent. Your ridiculous the thread was if Tito did not Exist. You are going after Tito got there how can you be taken seriously if you don't know how to type correctly or read. You did not even take into consideration the title of the thread.
