I do remember him saying he wanted 50-50 for Lopez, which I'll admit that's a little out of reach considering the economic muscle Lopez brings. I wish Rafael Marquez would beat that diva ass punk in September and Cab beats Gamboa that way we get a Caballero-Marquez match up. But even then I doubt Rafa would fight him either, because he himself only wants big paydays probably at this stage of his career. But unlike Gamboa and Lopez, he has earned it.

All he asked for was more than the 150k they offered which was very reasonable considering he made much more than that fighting others on Showtime and recently he made 300k for Yordan.

But JuanMa's team *****ed the negotiations before they even started, and that's on record.

Yeah, but didn't he just demand 50-50 to fight both Lopez and Gamboa and Dibella probably talked some sense into him by offering Gamboa 60-40? You're right though, the fact that fight fell apart at 122 is all Lopez's fault for only offering 150K and then running like a *****.

Gamboa wanted a million. I just hope he doesn't make ridiculous demands because Caballero is a bigger name than Rojas any day of the week.

Its time that this fight gets made...I for sure think that Gamboa fights anytime, any where and anywho...its JuanMa that concerns me, especially with his recent remarks. He's becoming a veteran ducker/cherry picker before he's really done anything remarkable.

Gamboa would fight Caballero and whip that ass, lets just hope that Arum makes it happen. I am not so sure why Arum has been so conservative lately with his match making. Sometimes you gotta throw a guy to the ocean and find out if he'll sink or swim. Gamboa is behind the curve since his pro days were delayed...we have to find out if all that flash is legit against the very best.

JuanMa though...its time to STFU and get down to business...we've all been spoiled by how Cotto acts and others in similar manner and don't truly appreciate how he/they handle their business. This diva act by my fellow countryman is getting on my effin nerves.

In a hypothetical world that might make sense but it just doesn't in the real, business world. Caballero doesn't pull any non-hardcore fans in, doesn't bring any money to the table, so he has to just take smaller paydays and build himself up. He thought screaming to the four corners would do the job but the fact remains that only hardcore fans are listening.

Yeah. I can. I'd love to see where Caballero said that he was down. Promoters make offers, get the fight done, and then go back to the fighter. That's why negotiations always get end with the fighters hearing what the promoter got them and deciding whether or not to sign.

Hence why some people here are glad that somebody (his promoter) has a clearer understanding of Cabellero's market value.
