Berto isn't Mayweather. Haymon knows Cotto is a bigger star, so negotiating shouldn't and wouldn't be a big issue as far as purse splits are concerned. Plus, Haymon is an adviser, he's not Berto's promoter. Dibella and Arum have a good working relationship.

With that being said, I'd much rather see Cotto vs Berto than Cotto vs Vanes.

A 60-40 purse with the majority of the PPV revenue going to Cotto would be okay. Howver if he asks for 50-50 like he did against Mosley after he fought Floyd then he is kidding himself man.

But HBO paid him $3 mil to step aside the mosley fight. Berto is sitting on some cash and does not have to take less if he chooses. HBO did that to themselves.
