I think from a business stand point Berto hasn't built his name up. There is definitely a risk that Cotto could lose to Berto and I don't think the risk/reward is worth it to Cotto at this point.

      This would never be ppv.

Because it involves an Arum fighter and a Haymon fighter and really the only ways those guys would consider working together is for huge money and this fight is small potatoes.

The fight won't happen. They are promoted by ******s that are more concern about been the top promoter and not giving us the best fights.
Pretty ****** because the way to the top is bringing the best fights, but they get it their way or the hight way.
Promoters should be extint and allow our smart boxers and managers to make the deal. The only way is eliminating the middleman.

I have serious doubts that the fight is not being made because of Money, I think Berto would agree to 60/40 because he knows if he beats Cotto then that means even more money down the line and even bigger fights

people on this forum are just assuming it is about the money when in actuality they probably never even attempted to negotiate the fight

I don't want to say Cotto is afraid of Berto because I respect Cotto to much to say that...BUT I think the people around him might be a little nervous about that match up

the way a few people on Boxing Scene Forum feels about Berto...IS NOT the same way Promoters and Fellow Boxers feels about him, Berto is a dangerous young fighter, sure he has his flaws but what boxer does have Flaws or Weaknesses

With that being said, I'd much rather see Cotto vs Berto than Cotto vs Vanes.
Bob knows that Even in Defeat Vanes will become a star overnight being in the same ring with Cotto. Just look at Yuri Foreman already getting back on HBO after rehab.

I totally agree though Berto vs Cotto would be a fight that boxing needs right now. They both have October dates and most of us will be coming off the high of Dirrell/Ward fight in September

Its not easy to make cause berto still owes collazo a much needed rematch. I would rather see that fight than the cotto fight. Cotto is at the point in his career that he can cherry pick who ever he wants he has earned that privilege and plus a berto fight even though on styles alone sounds like a exciting fight I must quote pbf " if it don't make $$$ it don't make sense"

Berto is not on Cotto's level; Berto is a guy who struggled with Collazo and Hatton. Cotto is an A-Lister.
Dawson disagrees with that 60/40 split.

                      I'd say 75/25.
