    What If... Margarito Beats Pacquiao?

At this point, one would think Margo would be eager to take Pacquiao out to establish himself at the top of the Super Welter division after having had to bare the burden of the year suspension and subsequent backlash from all directions.

The tables would turn if Margo has the wherewithal to beat Pacquiao and end up as the WBA super welter champ.

That will automatically put a damper on the May-Pac fight. Could possibly set up a Margarito-May fight at 154 for a title shot.

Could the Pac-Margo fight be a segue to Pacquiao's exit from the sport due to his political obligations?

    What ya think?

I doubt it highly. Margarito looked bad in winning a tune up fight against a nobody, he's gonna take out the best boxer the sport has to offer right now? highly unlikely.

Margarito has not discovered how to block punches yet. Pacquiao will get hundreds of free shots. In the event that Margarito does hurt Pac on accident...rest assured Arum already told Margarito to lose this fight or else.

It is. And I'm sure the odds would reflect that. But stranger things have happened which is why I'm guessing if Pacquiao might need a break from the sport to tend to his government position.

I suspected someone would insinuate a pay off of sorts. We never know do we?

god forbid. the sport of boxing doesnt need one of its top stars to lose what is supposed to be a tune up.

Manny will smash Margarito's iron chin.
Floyd will have more excuses after that. Or Floyd will go into hiding like he's under a Witness protection program.

So is it safe to assume that the Pac-Margo fight will be a mismatch of sorts?

If you don't think at some point that slimy **** Arum told Margarito to take it easy just in case I have a bridge to nowhere to sell you...
