150lbs is not a new weight class. He weighed 153 vs Hatton on fight night. It's called tactics.

Manny will 'make it competitive', somewhat. He'll lower his guard and chase down Margarito going for the kill like when he was chasing Cotto at the end.
Margarito will land some shots and look like he's still in it.

Or Manny could allow himself to get tagged like he did against Clottey waiting for Margarito to open up.

Manny does have a habit of wanting to trade.

He wants Pacquiao to lose to a Top Rank fighter. This is why I don't understand Pacquiao fans defending Arum to the bitter end. Secretly Arum wants one of his rising stars to beat Pacquiao into retirement.

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if when Pacquiao is pretty much punch drunk from all his wars, Arum puts him in a fight with Chavez jr. The Mexican can beat the Mexicutinor and be seen as a hero throughout Mexico.

If Margarito beat Pacquiao I'd be disgusted as it would lead to more big fights for an individual I despise. It would probably spell the end to Mayweather vs Pacquiao too, the demand for it would diminish as people would no longer see it as Mr Invincible vs Mr Underfeated.

Margarito stands to make multi millions if he were to beat Pacquiao. And Arum would make a good percentage of that. No way that Arum can do anything or pay enough to stop Margarito from going for the KO. Just another baseless conspiracy theory.

Getting caught before the fight, im pretty sure got in Margo's head...was a bad night for him.
You think Margo got his marbles back after that beating or is he shot?

I agree. It wasn't surprising to see Bob supporting him to the end after the hand-wrap scandal. He looked out for Margo. As he should have.

I don't think Margo has the speed to compete with Pac, but if his stamina is at it's peak and his head is on right, we could see a replay of Cotto-Margarito
if Pac decides to stand and trade.

The tables would turn if Margo has the wherewithal to beat Pacquiao and end up as the WBA super welter champ.

That will automatically put a damper on the May-Pac fight. Could possibly set up a Margarito-May fight at 154 for a title shot.

Could the Pac-Margo fight be a segue to Pacquiao's exit from the sport due to his political obligations?

                What ya think?
Pac's legacy isnt built on bein undefeated. Im rooting for Marg.

If pac loses that proves he was right to take the fight in the first place

If he loses then it helps to show that it was a risky contest seeing that he is giving away 5 inches in height and 6 inches in reach.

A loss aint the end of the world. Mike tyson lost to buster douglas cause he got lazy but everybody knows that prime mike tyson (before gus died) was and is a legend. He had sick handspeed...like manny handspeed and therefore sick power.

To be honest a great champion is one who takes risks and im glad the TS made this thread because the fight is a risky one

I give credit also to floyd for fighting mosley since mosley nearly took him out but mosley was post prime and everybody knows if some1 wants legacy they need to fight the best and pac is the best besides floyd.

You can only give credit where credit is due. in 20 years time if pac didn't fight floyd it will be rougher on floyd because of the media. Let's face it...kids only remember what the tv tells them and what is in their era (example the *****s saying floyd is greater than pernell = bu.ll****)

At the end of the day if they don't fight each other they both lose out.
