****, that is what I am thinking, peeps acting like Vanes is some bum like Foreman, actually Foreman took Cotto, what 7 or 8 rounds basically like with one knee, Vanes has a better jab then Foreman, hits harder then Foreman, better movement and probably even in the speed department arguably faster then Foreman. LIVE underdog here, dangerous fight for Cotto in my opinion. Don't understand all the naysayers but I actually think Vanes pulls it out! Hopefully the fight is in Vegas!

for all u vanes haters and cotto nuthuggers let give you a recap of cotto's last 5 fights. hand wraps or not, got demolished by margarito, beat a unknown euro fighter, got a gift decision vs clottey, got demolished by Manny and was getting hit flush by a guy with no power or speed and fighting on one leg. lets not all jump on the cotto bandwagon because he beat a guy that my 3 year old punches harder than. cotto is a warrior, but vanes has never been in a underdog situation and a young underdog with this much skill will give cotto all he can handle. Vanes aint no bum, he is ranked top 10 by all sanctioning bodies. i want all u nuthuggers to come back and post after vanes destroys miguel's hopes of a rematch with manny... First off he didnt get a gift decision against Clottey, 2nd you forgot to mention Mosley's fight... and 3rd, Vanes will not "crush" Cotto beating or not, Cotto lasted 11 and 12 rounds against margarito and Pac, I doubt Vanes would last that long taking a beating... get off the cloud son, Vanes will lose. end of story.

Cotto actually has a lot of options at 154. I'd most like to see him fight Dzinziruk, but none of the fights mentioned are too bad. Sadly Vanes is the fight I would least want to see aside from Martinez, who I think would handle Cotto fairly easily.

great tune up for cotto.

cotto needs a few more tune ups with steward to work out the kinks in his defense and conditioning.

cotto's conditioning is fine. steward aint chaning **** as far as that. stewards really working on cotto's feet work, working with the jab, balance for combos, back to body work, ring smarts and gameplanning. i would like to see him have one more tune up before he takes on a big name, like sergio or floyd. if he fought berto, i think he could get away without having an extra tuneup.
