People on this site do not give Cotto a chance on winning this fight, but I believe Cotto will give Mayweather some problems. Cotto lost to Pac the best P4P, but he busted his eardrum in the earlier rounds, how about if Cotto lands on of those punches on Mayweather? All it takes is one punch and Cotto knows now that he was hurting Pac in the first few rounds, this was admitted by Pac. If Cotto lands one good shot on Mayweather, and follows up on Mayweather's body, it might be interesting.

so you basically giving Cotto a punchers chance and calling it a good chance?

Did you see SSM almost ko May on the second round? All it takes is one punch and it could change the fight completely. You never know, stranger things have happened.
I think Floyd is atleast a cut above Mosley, I think Cotto would look like he does in most of his big fight he would start out alright and as Floyd figured him out he would tire and have no answers. I think Cotto has some answers for what Floyd does but I don't think he ever had enough as his flaws are still roughly the same and Floyd can take advantage of almost any flaw.
I don't think Floyd would have stopped him back then (atleast cleanly) though.
Floyd is an ATG fighter and Miguel Cotto is a very good fighter. Cotto would win 3-4 rounds because Floyd would allow Cotto to fight at a steady pace and he wouldnt have to worry about gassing out. Cotto wins rounds by landing the harder shots but ultimately gets outboxed.
