We haven't seen that fighter since the first 6 rounds of the Margarito fight. I think it's reaching to think we'll see that fighter again.

I think Cotto does has a legit chance to beat Floyd and turn things around with one punch. What do you guys think????

One thing is for sure....this is a better fight than most people think!!

The Cotto that beat Mosley was undefeated and had all the confidence in the world ..... the present Cotto would be missing that no matter how prepared he gets himself. Plus add the fact that Floyd now has a blueprint (see Manny fight - quickness) on how to defeat him.

Then he would be doing the same thing current Cotto would try to do, break Floyd down to the body and win the latter half of the fight. Kind of like Castillo.

He can't do that though, simply doesn't have the foot or handspeed.

And that version of Cotto loses a competitive 8-4 decision, looking like the Oscar fight.
you're being very generous giving him 4 round, I dont think miguel can even win 2.

I think it'd be more competitive than you guys are giving him credit for. Mayweather's style will allow Cotto to fight at a pace that is comfortable for him and take rounds. He will be in his stalking mode and will be able to eat any punch Floyd throws and keep coming.

He may not win, but I think it will be a close fight. I think Cotto handles speed very well, with Pac being quite the exception. Speed has never been an issue with Cotto, its the relentless attack. I think Cotto would take Mayweather to deep waters. He certainly wouldn't gas out in round 2.

But hey, Its rare that its going to happen...I hope we see Berto/Cotto

How is the style match up ugly? Cotto has lost to high intesity pressure fighters.

Floyd is a counter puncher, Cotto usually has his way with Counter punchers. Not saying he would have beaten Floyd but you're logic is flawed.
