    That wouldn't make a difference.

Floyd beats Cotto up regardless, and i'm a very big Cotto fan.

Agree, but besides Pacquiao, Cotto is the next one that gives him the most trouble.

Cotto has a chance if he shows up like he did against Shane. There is a possibility Cotto branco Floyd's weak arms.

I didn't think that was a particularly good fight for Miguel as I scored it a draw, and Shane came on strong late.

I agree with everyone who says that no version of Cotto is very likely to have defeated Floyd, although I think he certainly could have won and still has a slim chance.

I think Cotto does has a legit chance to beat Floyd and turn things around with one punch. What do you guys think????

One thing is for sure....this is a better fight than most people think!!
I don't think Cotto ever had the skill and talent to beat floyd. Ricardo Torres and Shane Mosley are much different fighters. Their styles lend more to Cotto's strengths Floyd's style doesn't. I've always felt that it would be a defining UD for floyd. Cotto I'd say is at the cusp of greatness but he's not a fighter that could go with any generation of fighters and be on top. He's just not that special a fighter.

Don't get me wrong Cotto is a stand up guy and a warrior. I have all the respect in the world for that guy. I just feel he's not a multi generational fighter.

I agree with the bolded and Floyd had the stylistic edge over him but Cotto style is actually much better against Floyd than most other fighters out there.

The Cotto that beat Shane didn't even give Shane a total beatdown. That was a close fight(And some thought Shane won based on him landing more Power punches as opposed to Cotto landing more jabs. Both landed the exact same number of punches).

I'm not going to go into some triangle theory. Styles make fights, and I've always thought Floyd was a bad style for Cotto.
