I dont understand that at all, why was he even entitled to one? I love Cotto but when a man just destroys and overmatches you completely, a rematch is just worthless. Arum has done great things for Cotto in my opinion. If he beat Marg and Pac, he would be P4P#1. So i dont see why cotto would complain. He the the best fighters out there and its his job to beat them not Arums

Exactly Yev, thats my whole point. If this fight happens at 154, then all of the Cotto damaged goods talk goes out the window, as he completely dismantled Yuri, and added E. Stu to his corner. It was a smart move money wise and possibly career wise all of PR felt that Cotto had a new lease on life at 154.

For us a rematch makes no sense but put yourself in the fighters shoes. After losing to the smaller man Miguel was a laughing stock of the boxing world. Big bad Cotto lost all respect and became just another victim of the pacman. Of course a guy with heart would want to get his respect back. Pac didn't just beat him, he embarrassed him. So Cotto probably wanted to get his revenge, wouldn't any man feel the same? He probably felt like a cheat like Marg should at least have to wait his turn. If I was him I would be a little salty at Arum too.

Yes but he has been beaten, weaknesses exposed and will lose to Floyd. I also dont think he got a new Lease on life. I think he is pretty much the same cotto as before, and just cant compete with the elite. He beat Yuri who is WAY below his talent wise. I see it as an illusion to most fans that think Cotto is back

I'm not one of those that thought Cotto was going to beat Floyd even before Manny. I'm just happy floyd ain't retiring if this rumor is true.

Would put a smile on my face i guess, knowing that Bob Arum and Pacquiao can't try to leech on to Cotto for a rematch, stealing his title at yet another catchweight... That option would be dead (unless Cotto wins, but Mayweather is bad stylistically for him so i have low faith in that).

Bull**** bruh. Arum will jump to make this fight so that he can further his advances to get in bed with the Mayweather camp for a Pac fight. If he can get the negotiations to go smooth in a Floyd/Miguel fight, he will have better footing to negotiate a Floyd/Manny fight. Think about it homeboy.

Well only time will tell personally I think Cotto puts up a fight but loses to Floyd. You have to be smart to beat Floyd and I just don't see that in Cotto. Manny has Roach so he doesn't have to be smart just listen to freddie.

I just dont wanna see a mosley reinactment, because watching 1 guy potshot and the other guy just stand there for 12 rounds is just boring to me. I wanna see a guy go out fighting if hes gonna get beat up
