If this fight is at 154, it is completely attractive to the average fan(which is what brings in the money). Plan B for Arum wont be a Cotto fight unless it's at 154 for Manny, the world has already seen Pac/Cotto so no-one is really interested in that fight, and nobody cares about it at a catch weight. Now Cotto/Floyd on the other hand has been in the making for years, people will be hyped just because it's a fight they've BEEN waiting to see. Keep in mind too, that in a years time the young guns from 140 will be at 147 with more weight under their belts, Timmy's already started the movement. The options at 147 will be a whole lot better next year than they are this year, and THAT will be Bob's plan B.

But do realize people that there is that one big issue on making this fight happen. And that issue is Arum. How and why would Arum make this fight happen and couldn't or wouldn't make Manny vs Floyd happen.

GBP promote Floyds fights, so a deal can be reached and made w/Floyd and a TR fighter..deals between TR and GBP have been made before.

OFCOURSE ARUM, would make a deal with Floyd vs ANY OF HIS FIGHTERS cause he's gonna make money. So if its not Manny/Floyd but instead Floyd/Cotto, then IMO its because Floyd didnt want to fight Pac.

Manny vs. Margacheato and Cotto vs. Floyd makes sense for everyone involved including the promoters.

Arum makes money from both fights and Cotto gets another big payday. Floyd taxes Cotto to an easy win with another 30M payday.

As a Mayweather fan Im excited aboput this.

Ths has been a dream fight of mine. Cotto has taking some bumps though. Manny Steward will get his chance.
