I love how Povetkin is still getting credit for avoiding this fight from some people. So much for "slave contracts."

TEDDY ATLAS ON FNF LAST NIGHT- I DON'T WANT POVETKIN IN THIS FIGHT AND HE AGREED WITH ME.

      Good question!

Some things in there that you'd expect Povetkin to be receiving, but it's not what I was expecting from a 'slave contract'.

If you really wanted a shot at the most coveted titles in boxing, you'd still sign that in a heartbeat. So you got to attend the pressers and pay your own accommodation? Just do it!

I wonder if David Haye had similar terms? What was the source that said Wlad agreed to 50/50 with Haye?

The contract doesn't matter. Read my post. Last night on FNF Teddy Atlas admitted the reason Povetkin didn't take the fight was because HE told Povetkin not to take it, and Povetkin agreed.

Actually, it was Wlad proposal, not Haye.

All right, first of all the article is just a translation of the same thing that was posted yesterday in German mangazine. It is NOT the actual contract, simply because the actual contract was never revealed. I know boxingscene is a great source, but they are just not that great to get the stuff that no one but Team Povetkin and Team Klitschko has.

Second -- the article itself is not accurate.

                  It fails to mention that
                  A) Gloves can be of the same brand as Klitschko but of any size, shape and color, as long as they satisfy the IBF rules

B)Klitschko's team will pay for Povetkin team's hotel and food, but not for anything else.

BTW, if anyone here reads russian, here are words of Bernd Bunte. He exlpains the issue very well

                    Dan Rafael of ESPN.

Note -- It was Wlad who offered 50-50.
