Maybe there are trying to position themselves with a fight with David Haye first. I believe David Haye would give Povetkin a good fight (I thinks it's an even fight) and the winner would clearly be in line for one of the Klit bros. Povetkin fighting Michael "I can't take a punch" Grant does nothing to help him, just like David Haye fighting Audley Harrison is a joke in itself....

You don't turn down chances like this.

If Povetkin loses, so what? He can rebound and he gains valuable experience he couldn't get anywhere else.

And what if he did win?

Maybe all the monthly money Atlas I heard is getting
paid to train Povetkin is the reason he wants to wait it
out, so he can keep collecting his fat check every month,
"Character" isn't that the word he always uses? he has
NONE of it to speak of....

Povetkin better start fighting some decent competition, because he's not going to get better by fighting tomato cans all the time.

He needs to fight someone in the caliber of David Haye, Kevin Johnson, Adamek, etc.

Atlas lost a lot of respect from me as a trainer . He should have said no from the get go and not let it get so far down the road before pulling the plug . Personally I don't see anyone beating the brothers in the near future but they should try . HAYE WON'T fight anyone , he's got his little belt and wants to hold on to it for a while . Povetkin is being made a fool of by Teddy and for now the brothers just keep beating up on the same people because everyone is scared . It's the sad state of the heavy weight division .
