Can someone find that article that Arum made a statement in regards to a WBC Silver Title. I don't remember if it was for Marquez/Vasquez or JCC Jr.

Arum was asked why he paid and allowed the WBC to sanction that fight for the Silver title and he said (I'm paraphrasing) "You don't want to piss Suilamen off, I might need him someday"

Well, that someday has come in regards to a BS "title" match for Manny, and Arum is coming to collect

Yeah I saw the article about Margarito and Rhodes but things have obviously changed now. And the fact that Margarito is even there is Politics.

No they haven't. According to the rules in dealing with Vacant titles, as a 4th option they will take the #1 guy and match him with a champ above or below the division. This decision has already been made as far as taking #1 guy Margarito and matching him with Manny Pacquiao. Why make this decision then rank Angulo above Margarito? Again Angulo is the number 1 guy for the WBO belt not WBC.

You have a Point but I still feel that it is pure politics for margarito to be where he is ranking wise given the lack of work he's put in there not to mention his suspension. I don't see how Manny Pacquiao who's never fought at 154 and is very unlikely to campaign there in the future and Margarito who's best win at 154 is against Garcia and last win before that at 154 was against a nobody deserve to go for a vacant title. Thats just Politics as usual and its ridiculous.
