how can margo-manny be for the vacant wbc title??and angulos#1??

Well what happened was Floyd fought Oscar for the WBC JMW title and won the strap when he defeated him. He then retired and became Emeritus champion.

Just to sum up why the WBC does that is because if you win a title and retire, upon returning you have a right to bypass all ranked contenders and mandatories to fight the newly crown champ. This is why Vitali was able to fight the new WBC champ Sam Peter for his title even though he was out for several years. I actually like the rule but as far as it concerns Floyd, Floyd really doesn't care about titles so I doubt he would ever exercise that option.

Why is Alcine #4 and Angulo #7 when Angulo just beat Alcine last Saturday in one round?

The problem is how the hell can Margarito be #1 in the WBC rankings if his last good win was in 2008?

Again all the top guys who were rated above him either moved to different divisions or didn't want to fight for the title when the wbc reached out to them. I can post articles if you like (just so you know I'm not b.s.'ing with you.

and Vanes just beat Joe Green last month??? What is Saul Alvarez doing at #2 for WBC at 154 with just a win over Jose Cotto at 147 and Cuello at 154? Who the hell is Cuello.

I must have missed that and if that was said during the telecast then that is actually false. Angulo is the number 1 contender/intern champ for the WBO title due to Dzinzurik having the issues he has had over the past year.

Margarito has been the #1 rated guy for a month or so, and I'm saying this because I have read various articles from the people at the WBC trying to make a push for Chavez vs Margarito, and just recently Margarito vs Rhodes.

Long story short this is pure politics you know that man. Angulo was just announced to be the #1 Contender because he won the eliminator. Before you said this is a ditch effort to find a full time champion lol... so you think Pac is going to stay at 154 there's barely even an outside chance of Pac having a second fight at 154. Its politics... plain and simple.

because Larry just stated that he heard it during the telecast. If that is the case then it makes sense why he started the thread the way he did. If they said that during the telecast I must have not caught it but I will take his word for it. With that said those were HBO commentators stating this and I have actually read several articles on this subject from the wbc themselves. They have said Margarito is the #1 rated guy numerous times, I just see it as the HBO guys stating false Info.

I really think they messed up and meant WBO instead of WBC which is not surprising as they often mess up on guys like Montiel's name or state inaccurate info from time to time.

Yeah I saw the article about Margarito and Rhodes but things have obviously changed now. And the fact that Margarito is even there is Politics.
