Exactly how I see it. Clottey could chill in his corner for the last two round, have a sandwich and still win based on the rounds he puts into the bank early on. What's Berto going to do, try to have an inside fight with a guy who is a far better inside fighter, and clinch a stonger man?

How many fighters have been able to hit Clottey flush?

How many fighters have beaten Clottey?

Berto doesn't throw a ton of punches.
He throws more than Clottey, that is unquestionable.

Clottey is good at seeing opens..
Not necessarily taking advantage of them, though.

Clottey's straight right would hit time and time again..
He would land it.. that I have no doubt.

And by round 8, we would all be sitting on the couch.. wondering... why he isn't throwing it enough.

I think it would be a great fight but never bank on Clottey winning anything. Just an FYI. All the things you mentioned int he above post won't matter if he throws 10 punches a round and then spends the last few rounds throwing zero punches. He just doesn't have it internally.

Berto gets stop by Mosley, Cotto, Margarito and company.

But I see Berto Beating Clottey on a ugly fight.

There's a ton of talk about Cotto-Berto going on in Rafael's chat. I wanna see that fight sooo bad.

Rafael said Cotto-Berto is way bigger of a fight than Martinez-Williams 2.

Like I said I would slightly favor him. Nothing stamina related with what he does either, since he looks fresh as a daisy after his contests. He is just more technically sound, and much better defensivly than Berto, and would have his way whenever he throws. He could give too many rounds away though.

Give me IWlliams vs Martinez 2. At least that fight decides who is the best in their division.

Out of his losses he has a questionable dq...a loss to 2 volume punches and a razor thin loss to Cotto and I actually thought he beat Cotto. Doesn't look all that well for Berto judging off that.

Judah threw more than Clottey but look how that turned out.

Besides the Pacquiao fight he usually does take advantage of them.

By round 8 we would be wondering if Berto's corner is thinking about stopping the fight if it goes that far anyways

Clottey has better skills than most welters. He just lacks a sack.
