I give him props for his incredible ability to pull out a loss just when he's on the verge of winning. He's so good at that.

Yeah.. well... Cotto's earmuff defense isn't exactly a steel curtain is it?

If Berto is open for Cotto's jab, then Cotto is open for Berto's uppercut.
Hit in the back of the Head??? come on man that was the side of the head as you could clearly see in the reply and the commentators even said it should have been ruled a knockdown. Sure Cotto doesn't have the best defense but its a hell of a lot better than Berto's. With Steward in his Corner I would think they would be prepared for Berto's uppercut. Heck in his last fight he showed better defense than he has in the past.

I'll choose the guy who fights not to lose, than the guy who fights TO lose.

Losing by the skin of your teeth to Cotto in your opponents crowd in a fight you were the underdog in ,where opinions are split is better than winning by the skin of your teeth in a fight against a WW gatekeeper.

Better defense? When Yuri DID decide to throw and not dance around the ring, he hit Cotto flush every time.

That looked like the Cotto I've always seem, but he looked a lot stronger at 154.

Acttually he was chasing Cotto for the last two rounds. A fight where he basically gave the win away was against Margarito, something I scratch my head at.

It was a good performance by Clottey, I was rooting for him to win. I still scored it for Cotto because he did what he always does. Goes into cruise control. When he needs rounds to win the fight, he shows no sign of urgency. He doesn't go out of his way to win the round, and win the fight. he just keeps doing what he's been doing even if that means he'll lose.

Lets not even talk about a one eyed Cotto who couldn't even see for 6 rounds.

Chasing and doing.... nothing. Not letting his hands go.

You don't get points for walking forward.

he was chasing Cotto and not throwing a damn thing. Agreed on Margarito.

Well many scored it the other way. Cuts happen its boxing. Most elite fighters can fight through it, like Marquez does every time he fights.

You can favor anyone, but styles make fights, and Bertos style is not suited for a guy who is very hard to hit, is stronger than you, and is more accurate the few times he lets his hands go.
