The difference is Valuev, Haye and Povetkin are much more known than Chambers, Thompson and Brock. You can't put Arreola in that category of not complaining since he had done nothing to earn his shot, so although he tried to win, he was just happy to be there and get one big payday before he started losing. The only other fighter you mentioned, Sam Peter, probably got paid well since he beat James Toney twice (well, in my mind, he was 1 win and 1 loss with Toney but the judges thought otherwise) and was becoming a name at that time...
arreola did earn a shot at the title, the old fashioned way...
brock used to be pretty well known as well, more so than thompson and chambers and he was actually the champion and wlad the challenger when they fought so panda doubts brock had to submit to a questionable contractComment

Brock was never the champion, Wlad was the IBF champion when he fought Brock.Comment

Who's Povetkin??
I can see Povetkin getting Slave money. He's known very little and has not been promoted to get the Money yet, but a win against any of the Klits will put him on the map. I say, take the slave money, Win and make some fame, then start asking for real money. Is the way it has been done and still works.Comment

THis is a tough one to comment on as I havent a clue what the contract actually stipulated. A growing concern for the Klit bros must be how much complaining there opponents do even with agreements in place.
I think the Klit Bros have a right - as Champions - to get the lions share of the spoils and to protect what they have built up. However, I also think that it may seem daunting and unfair to challengers - with everything stacked against them (rematch clauses etc etc - even if you beat one you fight another!?).
In my honest opinion though - it never seemed like Povetkin was really up for a Wlad fight in the first place - Ive not read about anything where Povetkin has stated how hungry he is for a fight with Wlad. I think Wlad is playign it straight - cant get no.1 challenger go for no. 2 - it may not be what everyone whats but at least he tried to get Haye in the ring and he seemed to try and get Povetkin in the ring.
Either way he needs to stay active and so does Povetkin!Comment

You believe what you want. I know the actual truth my man. So you not believing the truth does'nt bother me. The powers don't want the Klits running things if you don't get that thenn thats your own fault.Comment

Povetkin got 2 millions and a change, which was exactly the 25% of the purse bid. Since that was a mandatory contract --- IT WAS A STANDARD IBF contract, with only real addition of WADA. So, the only thing that Saur could have been pointing out was that they did not want to take WADA tests.Comment

exactly what you said....you believe what you want...i dont see you with a contract in your hand so its your opinion, not facts....i respect your opinion but i will not believe anything unless i have a contract in my hands so i can read the nominclature myself & until then we all are giving opinions without fact.i deal with union contracts all the time...you dont sign until you have read all the fine printComment

Another thing that no one ever points out, is that Povetkin's team was investing exactly 0 dollars in the actual fight, they were coming to just get the ripe benefits of being a purse bid loser, every little cost was on the Klitschkos.
They did not have any moral rights to demand anything eitherr.Comment
