    For whatever reason?
I don't think so.. not unless Rafa will do it twice, and JuanMa Lopez goes for a strong career rebound thereafter.

i think rafa just edges juan. as for the subject of morales, barerra, & juan manuel; jmm never really fully captured the mexican boxing scene as much as mab & em. i rank morales & barerra higher than marquez just based on resume alone.

JMM is still a top p4p fighter right now and where is EM and MAB right now? Fighting scrubs.

In that kind thinking then i agree. JMM is the best among the 3

JMM woulve beat Naz, Jr Jones, In Jin Chi, Zaragosa, Morales, Pac...

if it wasnt for the 2 close fight against Manny Pacquiao, JMM wouldnt even be in a conversation as being one of the best Mexican. he was getting a lot of attention because of the Pacquio's fight.

Why shouldn't he get credit for those two fights? He arguably beat one of the greatest fighters of the era twice.

I think a win over JuanMa may push little Marquez above JMM, but it's hard to say. JMM's resume can be quite polarising according to people's stances on the whole 'whether a resume is only judged by official wins' issue as he's been the victim of a few dodgy/highly subjective decisions.

I knew of JM Marquez way before his fights with pac and at that time thought he would beat naz, mab, and Morales

but now in hind sight I think a fight between Marquez and Morales at feather would be even money

Morales skills in the ring get over looked because he love to put on a show but check out his fight with ayala

Morales would bring his A game against Marquez it would truly be a pick em fight

i have ranked Erik=Marquez > mab because if you compare common opponents Marquez and Morales out did mab.

now back to the original question in the thread

Rafa wins over tim austin, mark johnson are pretty impressive and if he is able to pull off a victory this late in his career against a young, strong puncher, techincally in his prime juanma lopez

i could see how you could make a case for Rafa surpassing his big brother
