I don't think so. JMM is still clearly the better fighter, and has had a great career we shouldn't be forgetting. Rafa beating JML would do give him an argument, but JMM is still ahead.

Lets just skip reality for a while now
Are you saying JMM and EM would've lost to Naz?

People really expose themselves when they think Morales was always just some out of control brawler. One of his biggest assets was his ability to outbox the **** out of anyone.
When did I say EM was a one dimensional brawler? EM in his prime was a great boxer who could outbox the **** out of most boxers, but he's not outboxing a prime JMM.

Rafa was a one-dimensional warrior, and if it wasnt for him being almost equally skilled as Vasquez (lol , equally skilled) then they wouldnt be known.

        JMM is the ****.

If he beats Juanma it does not catapult him , juanma is a green fighter , still a lot to prove , it will be the same old , veteran , upsetting the up and coming star
I guess cleaning out Bantamweight and being one of the hardest punchers P4P for a long time makes you unknown and one-dimensional then.

He doesn't have to outbox him. He can, but he doesn't necessarily have to. He can always drag Marquez into a brawl which Marquez loses every time. Marquez has Mexican pride too and in a fight of that magnitude, he would be drawn into a war.

Theres a reason why JMM never fought Morales.

He'd get his **** pushed in.

On a sidenote, for being this supposedly great technical fighter,

Marquez sure does get dropped alot.

Never seen that from Morales though til the end of his career, and it came from one of the greatest fighters ever.

Funny thing, he even beat that guy quite convincingly whereas Marquez fought him to two disputable contests.

                  surpass jmm as in how?

                  resume?

jmm's best performance was losing to pac 2x. rafa doesn't have someone on pac's level to fight. maybe if raf beats juanma, caballero, and gamboa.

                  skills?

raf will never have the kinda skills jmm has. raf brawls way too much.

I love Morales, but there's not a damn thing he could do with JMM.

One is good, the other is a master.

AS for JMM being "chinny" thats horse****. He's only been rocked by the hands of Pacquiao whom we now know has GOD given power.

Consider this, JMM's chin was able to withstand what bigger men than him (hatton, Oscar, Cotto) couldn't.

He's a Real Man and the best of the 3 Mexican musketeers.

Its a good win for him now only cuz' he's old puto.

If he was still young and prime, it would be an ok win cuz' he's supposed to beat an inferior fighter like Juana.
