Not at all,, my point is that I don't want boxing to go down the UFC advertising route,, at least hold back on that a bit no!? it's all cabbage in arum's pocket, that's all it is. ask an old-timer about this fight, describe the event with all the lights and see what they say. am only 27 by the way

Yeah, people are really short-sighted. I completely understand not wanting Margarito to get a chance to earn a huge pay day because of his recent past, in fact I think it would be better if they took on Paul Williams instead (but Paul is no where near as recognizable in the mainstream as Antonio, for good or bad, and the UAE royal family would be less enthusiastic about shelling out a record site fee for someone they've never heard of... plus Arum would be putting the whole thing together and another promoter would be enjoying the fruits of his labor).

But complaining about Boxing having more sponsorships and more visibility worldwide is just ******. If Nike, Fly Emirates, Tecate, and others sign endorsement deals for this fight that means there will be advertisements in AT LEAST 3 different countries/languages/demographics and the Pacquiao/Top Rank brand would grow exponentially worldwide, as would boxing in general. You can only stage fight after fight in the same Vegas casino for so long before it becomes stale and esoteric.

Think beyond your petty grievances people.

          See the big picture.

Margarito got knocked out by Mosely and banned in the USA for cheating, so why should royalty accept this matchup? It looks like Uncle Bob is conning the gullible again. Paul Williams is begging for a shot, so let these super rich Abu Dhabis put on a real fight. They've got the cash to make everyone happy, so why settle for a second rate contest in a first rate venue? They should force the issue with thier capital and get a real attraction for the millions, instead of a side show. Someone needs to talk with them and let them know what they can get, as opposed to the crap they're being offered.

replay's are sponsored, everyone being urged to drink an energy drink, fighter's scrambling to get their t-shirt & hat on to keep everyone happy, the list goes on!! I know it's different in the states, but here in the uk that's seen as drilling the audience into the corporate side of sport. I watch formula 1, and it's just as bad!!

While everyone is sulking and complaining (and they'll probably buy the PPV anyway), Pacquiao and Arum will be laughing and dancing to the bank singing THIS

Manny is running halfway around the world to avoid drug testing ...all to fight Margaret.

When he could have had a 50/50, 14 day fight with Mayweather in March.

                  Sad.

What's sad is that you keep bringing up a man who is 'not thinking about boxing', 'on vacation', and 'not rushing into anything' against Pacquiao who is 'running halfway around the globe' to fight ANOTHER opponent who Mayweather ducked and 'retired' to avoid fighting.

Fall back. You can save money on this PPV and pay $59.95 instead to watch Floyd lounge on a beach while Ellerbe rubs suntan lotion all over his chest. That's probably more interesting than any of his fights.

Mayweather never wanted to have anything to do with Pacquiao. This has been abundantly clear since the night of the Cotto fight.

"My son will never fight Manny Pacquiao"- Floyd Mayweather Sr.

FLOYD was right about PACS unfair cuts a few years back.

2 YEARS AGO.. FLOYD told the press that PACQUIAO gets the WORST deals in boxing because his cut was always low and other money earned from the fight went elsewhere. It's good they're finally trying to award him what he deserves.
