Comments Thread For: Schaefer: Golden Boy Promotions is Not Like Top Rank

With all the recent conversation about Bob Arum keeping fights in-house at Top Rank Inc., Richard Schaefer was stunned to hear that there have been similar rumblings about Golden Boy Promotions - though to a lesser degree.

Both promotional companies are full of ****. Top Rank noticeably more so.

I would like someone to look into the big fights not just the little fights where the promotional companies have nothing big to lose but the big fights.

GBP is nowhere near as bad as Top Rank. But Marquez vs. Khan would be an example of an in-house fight from Golden Boy that most fans are against.

GBP is nipping at Top Rank's heels in this regard.

What a weak attempt at damage control by GBP

Maybe the casual boxing fan, or the gullible fight "fan" believes this ****

They're doing the exact same **** with A Mere Con. But we know Con has a achilles jaw that just so happens to be one of the easiest targets for other elite level boxers.

We all knows Con's weakness and we all know GBP are babying him.

GBP isn't even trying in house fights because they're too busy trying matching up lightweights with their Golden Eggs and.

Just so happens that the fighter's they've specifically chosen are within their own promotional company.

                  How convenient, huh?

Not only Khan but Victor Ortiz. I mean what has Vivian Harris done as of late? Why is he being looked at as a possible opponent for Ortiz?
