Yeah, he thought he could get by still drinking beers and chowing down on everything after a fight.

But dropping around 40 pounds months before a fight will catch up with you. You can't expect your body to just respond like nothing is wrong when cutting that much weight in a short amount of time isn't natural . It wasn't the first time either because Ricky has been known to indulge himself in a lot of unhealthy habits that makes him look like a whole different person in previous fights.

That's where the name Ricky Fatton kicks in.

Especially, the amount of wars Ricky was in before and getting physically/mentally broke down by Mayweather.

Cuss D'Amatto himself couldn't have helped Lil Ricky that night.

Besides asking the Taco Bell drive-thru clerk if "ya'll be putting tomatoes on that #7" and drinking his 44oz Mountain Dew and spilling tacos all over his Beamer, I never once saw Floyd Joy work the pads from a southpaw stance with Ricky in 24/7. Fast forward to the ring entrance where Ricky's famous song doesn't hit the chorus and the blank stare he gave Bhop like seeing a ghost before going into the center for the instructions, I would say that Ricky pretty much had the self-fulfilling prophecy notion of what was about to take place. That was just further solidified by the pool party and beer drinking right after the fight of behaving like someone excited for an event to be over versus biting down and acting like a vested fighter after battle. But all in all it wouldn't have mattered as that check-right hook from Pac was a thing of beauty; it would have found the mark all night even with a better prepared and more focused/confident Hatton.

it certainly seems like hatton fought w/ beard's game plan rather than a mayweather game plan.

I also think hatton was scared because of pac's reputation for speed and power.

                  truth right there.

Unlike Mayweather Jr and Mayweather Sr, Hatton wasn't scared of Pacquiao. Unlike Jr. he actually got in the ring with him, got up off the floor twice and barely took a backward step despite eating punches from all angles.

Ultimately it's Ricky's own fault for hiring Mayweather Sr.

Just more excuses. Leading up to the bout all hatton's camp could do was spout on about how great it was going and how he was in the best shape of his life.

hatton always relied upon wrestling and his sturdy chin to get him by.
