It so clear there were negotiations.

1.oscar said a deal is close.

2.Schaefer said he cant talk about it. Well *****s that means a gag order is in place and he is not allowed to breach it. Why else would he say that.

        3. Floyd sr. said in an interview that its not the tests but the money this time.

4.Why has elerbee decided to speak up after the deadline when he had to shoot it down months back and clear the blame from floyd.

        5. When floyd was asked about the fight he didn't refuse the fact that there was no negotiations he said that he wasn't thinking of boxing right now.

Arum wasn't lying its all down to damage control. But real sports world knows whats going down. Look all the media outlets they know who wanted the fight and who didn't so you *****s can talk about details and whos fault it was last negotiations. the truth is your boy dont want to fight pac and i know why because pac will beat his ass.

              • Here's an evidence that a negotiation did happen...
Even though Ross Greenburg is acting like a Coward...

"Greenburg and HBO declined to comment but told USA TODAY a few weeks ago that, while he wouldn't discuss negotiations, he said there were very few people involved in the talks."

                  • Mayweather's side really needs to stop already...

Schaefer, the Golden Boy CEO who has promoted Mayweather's last several fights, has been one of the chief game players if there really were no talks, because he absolutely made it seem clear that talks were going on, time and again. Why else would he talk about a so-called "gag order" in discussing negotiations publicly?

I'd ask him about it and he'd say stuff like, "Talking about the negotiations isn't going to help get the fight made, so I'm not going to talk about them." He'd also say, "Come on, stop asking me about the negotiations. You know I am not going to talk about them."

                    -Dan Rafael, ESPN
                    July 21, 2010
"Up until now, it’s been a very difficult negotiation process for various reasons but right now we’re very close... I think right now we are very, very close in finalizing the contracts. I can’t talk right now in detail about the negotiations but I will say that we are very close."

-Oscar De La Hoya, OWNER of Golden Boy Promotions
                    June 2, 2010
"I can't talk about it," Greenburg told Newsday. "I'm right in the middle of shutting everyone down. We have to do it quietly. This cannot get into the papers. If it gets in the papers, all of a sudden, it takes on a life of its own like it did in December and January, and it becomes very difficult to make the fight. We all kind of shook hands and said, 'Let's keep quiet and do it out of the press and get it done.'

"We're going to try to make it happen. That's all I can say."

                    -Ross Greenburg, HBO Sports President
                    June 4, 2010

Arum said he talked to Pacquiao, now a congressman in the Philippines, just a few days ago.

"He's just laughing about this (negotiation saga)," Arum said. "He always, deep down, believed that Mayweather wouldn't fight him. I'm not saying that myself, but Manny never really counted on Mayweather."

so, even manny thought that floyd wont really fight him all along...
