If Arum is afraid his fighter to loss, why would he allow both of his fighter to fight each other...
Why would Arum Match JuanMa-Luevano?
Why would Arum Match JuanMa-Concepcion?
Why would Arum Match Montiel-Donaire?
He knows one of them will have to loss!
Why Mayweather-Williams difficult to make???
Pacquiao-Williams is very possible fight in 2011 or 2012... As long as both fighters keep winning~~~~~
I do also think Arum will eventually match Pac with Paul Williams. But not any time soon.
If I were him to think like him, I would milk Pac for a few more fights against the likes of Plasterito, Cotto (if Mayweather still makes Team Pac/Arum wait), then we get the Superfight we've been waiting for.
IF and when Pac (most likely but is a live underdog) loses, then go for the riskier fights with Bradley*, Berto*, PWill*, Alexander*Mosley* (if he's still around long enough and is broke and in need of the money).
Pac will still be a big name and there's still plenty of money making potential using Pac's name and any young legit fighter. Roach has said he expects Pac to be fighting for a few more years. Pac still a few years left in the tank and fighting is his main source of income. It only makes sense for Pac to stick around a bit longer. I'm pretty sure he'll keep fighting after a Mayweather fight/loss?
I think most of us can agree that arum is a greedy scumbag.
He will only do what makes the most financial sense at the time, and keeping his options open for further on down the road
Money is what makes sense to this guy more than anything, which is why I predict he will take follow this exact order of events (with the exception of the * fighters, because any of those guys could be switched up to how they do PPV/$$$$$ wise in 2011/2012.
Getting late, signing off.
P.S. I think I speak my mind a little too much for some of you guys all your responses seem like a quick read to me and really not much insight at all.
Dissapointed in this forumComment

Why not try and milk/fight the new top dogs in the welterweight division.
he was planning on dropping down to 147 for a while now. He's just doing it at a slow pace and not weight draining himself too much.
Sucks to break it to you, but almost EVERYTHING in this world is related in one way or another to money.
When you can understand that, you'll understand why these promoters try and sometimes shovel these ****ty fights in our face.

By Robert Morales - It was Wednesday afternoon, and Paul Williams had just finished a training session near his home in South Carolina. About 10 minutes into a telephone conversation, Williams was asked what would happen if he fought Manny Pacquiao.
"A fight with me and Pacquiao, it would be a good fight for three or four rounds, then I would put him on his head," Willliams said to BoxingScene.com. "That is not me being ****y, just being confident in myself. I'm just going to take him right out of there. As soon as they put the gloves on him, they will take them off.
"No disrespect to Pacquiao and his trainer, Freddie Roach. I like them. But if they get in that water, I'm going to blow them right out of it."
For now, it's all just a dream. With Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather Jr. apparently dead again, Pacquiao seems headed for a fight with Antonio Margarito. If an accord isn't reached for that fight, Pacquiao most likely will do a rematch with Miguel Cotto.
According to Bob Arum - who promotes Pacquiao, Margarito and Cotto - Williams hasn't been promoted properly and isn't enough of a household name; therefore, he can't generate enough pay-per-view buys for a fight with Pacquiao, who has a hefty minimum guarantee. [Click Here To Read More]Comment

They try to play off their ignorance, but I just see right through it.

Imagine
What if this fight actually happened? What if Pac actually challenged the best boxer out there in his division. There have always been those who have questioned the legitimicy of his wins. People will tell you Pac hand picked guys like David Diaz and that JMM won the 2 fights. But JMM got dropped 4 times. He definately would have won both if he coulda kept his ass off the canvas. They say De La Hoya was a dead man walking at 47 and that Cotto was battle damaged weight drained goods when Pac fought em. Oh yeah and Hatton had already been cracked by Mayweather. But there isn't a thing in the world anyone could say if Pac took out the Punisher. But he isn't likely 2 do it. Pac is scared. If he really is about fighting the best he will sign to fight Paul Williams on Nov 14. Otherwise, he is just like Mayweather and "ducking" Paul.Comment

Damn, months back when i had no account but was still reading boxing scene articles and seeing what you guys said in the forum topics
compared to what I see now, is quite disappointing.
Looks like I should have joined Boxing Scene 6-8 months ago, when the site and forum was at it's peak.Comment

another fight fan who see's **** for what it really is and not living in a world of illusions.
That's makes two for the few day's i've had this account.
Just two though!
Sounds weak.
Back to Pac beating Paul, yeah a win (not crazy as some might think) over PWill will prove his P4P #1 status and eliminate all doubt of his legitimacy in the welterweight division.
But we all know the Ultimate Super Fight for Pac is Floyd!Comment
