I disgee, Both of them weighed 142 and 146 meaning there wasnt a huge difference. Your a good poster but saying Marquez is a natural featherweight is pathetic, If you say that then you could also say that Mayweather is a natural Super Featherweight. The bottom line is that many fighters have moved up from Lightweight to Welterweight and been successful, Marquez just lost to a better fighter who beats him at any weight class.

It doesn't matter if he would beat him at any weight class because they have no business together in actual competition. To suggest that JMM is not a small LW/SFW is just a separation from reality.

It doesn't matter what they weighed on an "official scale", becaue that is a very poor indicator of actual size and it was clear Floyd was much bigger in the ring maybe not 15lbs bigger but we don't know for sure.

I can't see how anyone could give Floyd an ounce of credit for a win like that.

He looked big compare to JMM, but there is no way he was 160 in that fight. His walking around weight is 150-155 and Floyd can barely keep the weight on.

Marquez just made the excuses maybe because it made him feel better, When you've gone your whole career giving guys tough fights then one guy comes along and sweeps you 12-0 it makes you feel bad. JMM made three big mistakes.

Moving up two weight classes without taking a tune up fight at 147 to see how his body would react to the extra weight.

He added fat instead of muscle.

He should've come in at 141-142 instead of coming in at 144. He needed speed to even have a chance in the fight and he lost speed because of the extra weight.

Marquez is a natural Lightweight but in THAT FIGHT he weighed 142, Making him a welterweight. Saying Floyd was much bigger is just an excuse, Floyd didnt complain when he was outweighed by Baldomir and De La Hoya. This was because he won the fight, Marquez lost all 12 rounds which is way he made excuses. Mayweather weighed 150 compared to 154 when he fought Oscar, But nobody talks about that. They only talk about weight to make an excuse, But when you always win fights (Like Mayweather) there is never any need to make excuses.

So since you are claiming Marquez is a natural Super Feathweight (A weight class he hasnt fought at in about 5 years) then I guess you will say the same thing if and when Mayweather beats Pacquiao as Manny also spent much of his career at the low weight classes. It doesnt matter that Marquez started off a lighter weight class, Floyd had most of his fights at 130. He's naturally smaller than almost all of his opponents, but nobody ever makes excuses for Floyd, because he keeps winning.

I have just read this from another boxing site. And I lost some respect for Marquez when I read it because there was no official "fight night" weight for that fight so Marquez has no proof and is just making excuses. I have watched most of his fights and Floyd hardly ever puts on more than 3-4lbs between the weigh in and the fight. In fact in the Judah fight he weighed the same on the day of the fight as he did during the weigh in.

I give credit to Marquez for taking the challenge but his excuses are abit pathetic to be honest. There's no way Floyd entered the ring at 160lbs + because he rarely puts on any weight after the weigh in, Nevermind 15lbs.

I'm very excited about this fight though, Marquez is a great fighter and Diaz hasnt looked good in a while but his back is up against the wall here. He needs this win and badly, Let's not forget that he was giving Marquez hell in the 1st fight before he started being wreckless and just walking in without jabbing. I think if he fights a smarter fight then he can win. I'm not sure what Marquez has left after the beating he got from Floyd and how his body will react after the weight loss. Anyway. I have a bet on Diaz so..........WAR DIAZ!!!

In round 9, Diaz threw a jab while Marquez was cornered. Marquez countered over the top with his right hand. That's where Diaz got hurt and ended up getting knocked down, then stopped.
