what are you talking about How many excuses has floyd used to stop this fight from happening.1.tune up 2. drug tests. 3. split. 4. taxes. 5. taking a break.

Pac only asked for one thing which was not to take tests close to the fight because of past experience which is documented by tape so he wasn't exactly lying.

Pac never ran from the first negotiations it was a mutual decision by both fighters because they could not agree on each others terms.. Both had a chance to make the fight if they gave in to the other.

my recollection recalls only Team pacquaio saying no to a fight in the last go around. Team pacquaio left the table and floyd never said anything about needing a tuneup or no taxes. and he right to demand drug test and the bigger split....he the bigger draw!

umm hello...Schaefer and DLH all were quoted that deals were near and there was a gag order on the negotiations..also that Arum was gonna deal with them directly because that what ruined the 1st negotiations..all their dislike for each other made it hard..and they would just talk **** back n forth..

so yeah..i dont see how people can sit there and be like..MAY SAID THERE WAS NO NEGOTIATIONS..lol

When 8CountNews got Floyd Mayweather Sr on the record some weeks back, he told us that he was not aware of any negotiations that were taking place. At the time he said this I honestly didn't believe what he said was entirely true. Perhaps I was wrong? 8CountNews has been reporting throughout this whole ordeal that this fight was not, and still is not a done deal. The bottom line is this, someone is lying as it pertains to the negotiations. Arum says that negotiations have been taking place, and the Mayweather side are saying that there has been no negotiations.

Mayweather is a smart guy, and he knows exactly what he is doing. No deadline will speed up the process. Mayweather will sign when it makes sense to. Right now his uncle, and trainer is staring at some jail time. Taxes are another issue, Floyd isn't interested in paying taxes on 40 million dollars in 2010. Most people do believe that this fight will happen, but more than likely not until early 2011.

Arum is now looking at matching up Pacquiao with either Miguel Cotto in a rematch, or with Antonio Margarito. Most people do not feel as if Margarito deserves a shot at Pacquiao, nor does he deserve to fight period. Neither Cotto, or Margarito really excite the boxing fans. A Cotto rematch will probably just be a replay of the first beat down.

Mayweather has been shooting hoops with a youth basketball league, and enjoying some down time with his family. He doesn't sweat deadlines. Floyd knows that he is a huge draw, and he knows that Arum needs him.

The fans have been the recipients of all kinds of wack information on this fight. Done deal headlines, fight is on, fight is off, fight is on again, fight is off again etc.... Headlines with no sources, followed by a bunch of back peddling and spinning, and trumped up garbage to make it look as if people really know what is going on, when in truth they are clueless. The whole ordeal has been one big circus act.

The truth is, not many people really know what the hell is going on. Some publications are rolling the dice as if trying to hit the lottery and putting up juicy headlines. These headlines are designed to gravitate boxing fans, primarily Pacquiao fans, to that in particular site. The truth is that most of them have no idea what is going on no matter how hard they try to portray that they do.

As I said before, when you see the press conference and a smiling Bob Arum waiving a Filipino flag and an American flag A.K.A. Dong King style, then we have a fight on our hands. Until you see something like that, don't believe the hype.

Good post...this whole thing has truly become a unsolved mystery...its like the Bermuda triangle. Nobody knows what the fuck is really going on. Who is really telling the truth? Who the fuck knows...

since when do you not talk to people who you are negotiating with. At some point, yall have to talk...who sets a deadline to someone you haven't confirmed your dealing with.

1 question, Did floyd hire greenburg to talk on his behalf so how are u going to negotiate with greenburg.

another question, what was actually in the contract? did pacquaio actually agree to the testing demands or where they still trying to push that 19 days spin that USADA implemented?

i think htey were becuase Arum is yet to confirm that pacquiao agreed to full testing nor state whether pacquiao even signed the contract!

arum doesn't have to talk directly with anyone in the mayweather camp for negotiations to go on. greenburg was acting as the middleman/mediatior between the 2 sides.

Did Top rank make a serious offer to Team Mayweather? Afterall, Arum hadn't even talked to a single member of Team Mayweather! Allegedly, he went through Ross greenburg for negotiations when greenburg is not a promotor nor an adviser for Mayweather. Nor is he looking out for Floyd's best interest so how is he be consulted with in regards to negotiations. It is hard to believe that the contract or contract negotiaiton is real, but simply a fairy tale....a fallacy construed by Top rank to sway the public and media into their favor. Top rank wants us to believe that Floyd is the hold up, that he is depriving the fans the fight of century! But hey, that is all just speculation and opinion. But these are the facts that led me to this specualtion and form these opinions.

Clottey fight in Dallas

Top rank making the clottey fight in dallas was the 1st move to side step a potential Floyd fight this year. 1st off, Arum knows that Floyd isn't fighting anywhere else but Vegas. So he develops a relationship with Jerry jones to land multiple fights at Dallas stadium. the 1st fight was with Clottey and the 2nd fight will be with Margarito who will most likely get his license renewed in Texas before any other commission. This way Arum can take advantage of the geography being close to Mexico and keeping all the $$$ in-house

there was an article on this very site where margarito stated Arum promised him pacquiao! now they may be scheduled for a fight for a vacant title at 154 which would be pacquaio's so-called 8th title in 8 different weight classes

Top Rank then got Cotto into position to become champ at 154 just after his loss to Pacquiao. How does Cotto get a title shot after taking a 1-sided loss...I'll tell you why , so that pacquiao can have shot at a so-called 8th title

Top rank was also pushing cotto and margarito has opponents for Pacquiao ever since the Mosley win. Arum even went so far to say that mosley would be floyd's toughest challenge because of his size and speed before floyd had agreed to fight Mosley

Top rank then states that their is gag order on the negotiations but continued to violate the so-called gag order every day for the last month. who states that their is a gag-order and then proceed to break the gag-order within the same statement

Then Arum states that the contract was agreed upon by all parties confirmed by golden Boy and it is awaiting Floyd's signature and then turns around last week and says that he talked to Ross Greenburg exclusively

next, he allegedly sends a contract to Team Mayweather with previous agreements that are no longer acceptable and have been publicly stated by mayweather that those agreements were null and void. And on top of that, he assessed a deadline to the best fighter of the world who genrates the most money, makes the most PPV sales, and generates the larger gate revenue in his fights in comparison to pacquiao. And nevermind in 41 fights Floyd has never lost or come close to losing, has been the best or 1 of the best since 99, and been the youngest fighters to achieve championships in multiple division while remaining undefeated and arum feels it is OK to place a pacquiao deadline on him. Top Rank does not call the shots, pacquiao does not call the shots, how dare they try and impose a deadline on this eras best fighter!

finally, once the pacquiao deadline has been given...Bob has continously pushed and rushed a decision from Team mayweather depsite the fight date being nov 13, 4 months away!!!!! And who decide nov 13, maybe Nov 13 is the only weekend that dallas is available during this NFL season. why all the urgency when the clottey fight was made in 2 mos? why nov 13th when you know floyd isn't fighting in dallas? This some BS by Arum!

i understand your point, but have you considered how much $$$$ arum will get if pac-floyd gets made? arum is a businessman, do you think he is not really serious in negotiating this fight? arum is a genius mofo, he's very good in this business...his style is similar to floyd...love him or hate him...

but imo, floyd's team messed up on this one, they could have asked a little more time until floyd finished his vacation if he's really just taking a time out for boxing. that negotiation news blackout did not help at all, it just damaged floyd's reputation from the eyes of the boxing fans...a long silence will just be broken that floyd is not interested to fight... it's really dissapointing!

he could have fought pac straight after pac hatton but he chose a tune up. I forgot another excuse roger going to jail. I dont know how that is an excuse because we dont even know how the trial will play out.

So you have 5-6 excuses by the floyd camp to pacs 1. Floyds camp are the ones making this fight hard to come into fruition.

well none of us will never know the real truth... it really doesnt matter at this point pac will be fighting margarito in nov and its obvious.. i think honestly TR wanted to milk pac out of one more fight b4 they put him in there with floyd, i dont think either fighter is scared its all business in the end
