Last week, WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko issued a video statement on the never-ending negotiations to make a fight with ex-champion Nikolai Valuev. Klitschko said Valuev was "scared" to accept an offer of $1.5 million for an October fight. Valuev issued a quick response to Klitschko's statement. Valuev claimed that he accepted the offer of $1.5 million and it was Klitschko who was running from their fight.

if its true...thats twice now their financial demands have been turned down....first the rumor that haye wasnt going to give up his uk tv money & now this? maybe the klitschkos are much harder to deal with then people think.rematch clauses, UK tv $......valuev even agreed hesitantly but agreed so im wondering what the problem is? don king is one of the most successful promoters ever but isnt the most honest guy,so who knows. if what king says is true this is solely on vitali....i dont see valuev winning so unless vitali thinks he could lose i dont see the point of talking financial terms for a rematch.the rematch clause is fine but making finacial terms for a possible rematch is ridiculous especially if vitali were to lose...come on guys this fight isnt that big.if vitali lost he knows the fight will happen in russia so hes trying to windle more money out of the rematch then he should be entitled to. i see a crack in vitalis armor...could he be having doubts about winning? who knows? just make it happen or move on.
