    • After Pac won a congressional seat, reports were the next fight will be the last one for Pac. Now Floyd wants to rest this year and fight Pac next year when Pac might be retire already.

        • objectively... there is pattern and its right on the dot. he said he will be retiring again but roger said thats bull!! meaning even roger didnt think floyd would retire.. now arum tried to nego (i know he did but failed and spewed alot of lies) there is no nego thats the main reason why floyd is silent because he really doesnt want to fight this year.. no intensions whatsoever..

now roger is in deep shiet he might be jailed this is the final nail! i cant say floyd is a coward but the way he handled this makes him look bad.. arum won this one he wants floyd to look really bad and he did..

so we must move on.. may 2011 is way too far and i know we wil have this topic until may 2011 it will go in circles we will be at war (*****s and *******s) but what can we do??

Thats not what he said clown

He said he's not thinking about boxing period. The title of this thread is misleading. I wonder how many people actually read

And why is this so surprising. Didn't he say this like a month ago? Yes he did

Good luck watching Pac fight Margarito lol

                o Boxing Editor

LAS VEGAS -- Floyd Mayweather will earn a guaranteed $22.5 million purse for Saturday night's clash with Shane Mosley, whose guaranteed $7 million will be more than three times less than Mayweather's.

The amount of the purse for Mayweather (40-0, 25 knockouts), confirmed by Nevada State Athletic Commission director Keith Kizer, is believed to be ranked No. 1 all time for a non-heavyweight bout, with Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield and James "Buster" Douglas all having had guarantees that surpassed Mayweather's.

Mayweather is expected to reap close to $40 million after all of the HBO pay-per-view numbers are totaled, which would fall short of Oscar De La Hoya's $54 million earned after his May 2007 loss to Mayweather.
Duh, that's not the whole article baby! You didn't read past the picture. There is a whole another section and this is what it states:

"Schaefer has said that he believes Mayweather-Mosley could surpass the record of 2.4 million buys, claiming that their matchup could do "four million buys."

At 4 million buys, he could make close to $40 million, but it even fell well short of the 2.4 they were hoping for at 1.4 PPV buys. So, $40 million is not even close and if it were, then Golden Boy and Floyd Promotions took a bath and if Mayweather Promotions take a bath, so does Mayweather himself...

So, next time, before spouting off, make sure you know the facts....

                • Well there you have it folks. He doesn't want to fight for the simple fact that he doesn't want to fight. This is promising though...because he will have the itch in a few months and hopefully by then they can sign something for early next year. Pac vs Margarito is still bull****!!!

                  • Floyd is so popular it's crazy, He goes 2 months without fighting and the world of boxing is going mad already. Wondering "What's going on with Floyd? Who is he going to fight next and when? etc etc. Even the people who don't like him seem to have some sort of obsession with Money Mayweather.

You don't get this with Pacquiao, Everyone knows he is just going to fight another hand-picked Top Rank fighter who is coming off a loss. There's never any excitement around Pacquiao and there wont be until the fight with Mayweather happens.
