  • This fight will never happen because pac will fight cotto/margarito and the leverage floyd have now will be gone, but pac will still offer floyd a 50-50 split but floyd wouldn't accept it because he wants a 60-40 split in his favor and his useless OST test. If this fight didn't happen now then next year it will be more impossible to happen.

    • Floyd is the GREATEST of all time!!!

Remember this day in boxing history - Floyd Mayweather Jr. just announced to the world that he is a fvkin pvssy, loud and clear.

He will be forever remembered as the loudest, self-absorbed, coward of all time. He'll be nailed in practically every boxing news in the next several weeks. And in generations to come, he will be referred to whenever somebody ducks somebody. He will be the posterboy for every scared boxer in years to come. He will be the duck of all ducks. Soon if you look up duck or coward in the dictionary, you'll see Floyd's picture next to it. He and David Haye probably hang out often.

I am sure he will loss a lot of his fans (only the logically thinking ones). Those that are left, the hardcore *****s (those that are mentally challenged) can still come up with ridiculous excuses like -- Arum's fault for putting up a deadline, Pac's fault for not agreeing the first time, Floyd really needs to spend time with his family, floyd is a genius because he is fvkin with us all, Roger is due in court for beating up a girl, A-side meth, etc., etc. These remaining *****s are so blinded that they can't see it the way it is. Floyd is scared! Come next year, he will duck again, This fight ain't gonna happen for as long as Floyd's got Pacyphobia - fear of Pacquiao.

Floyd, do us all a favor - RETIRE!!!! You're indeed the greatest of all time. GREATEST COWARD AND DISAPPOINTMENT ... that is.

      • Lets face it. Floyd is a part time fighter just like De la hoya was. We will only see him once a year from now on. If pac wins his next fight, they will meet sometime in May 2011

Juice or no juice, when a man plateaus unless he's doing everything 100% healthy(this means nobody, except maybe 3 or 4 active fighters that include mayweather, hopkins and bradley and possibly dzinziruk), he will have a 2 year falloff period after the plateau. This only occurs in world level sports that require lots of anaerobic activity like boxing. He's waiting for him to show a sign of weakness and then expect Mayweather to come back in full force, similar to Leonard with Hagler.
I thought the same. Especially with Pac talking about retiring and being a congressman already.

What about Football? They take some MASSIVE damage to thier bodies and barely get a month off every year.

Plus Floyd gets hit VERY little in his fights and has very little impact on his vody especially when you compare him to fighters like Pac and Cotto

If Floyd fights him right now, we have nothing to take away from Floyd. People want to see 2 fighters fight at thier primes and lets face it Mosley is like 8 years removed from his prime
Floyd tried to make the fight serveral times before and it never happened both ways basically because of bad timing... they eventually got it on and its REALLY unfair for people to take that win away from him when they were saying hes afraid of him before it got signed.

They said he was afraid, he signed, they said he got pushed into it, he schooled Mosley, Mosley was a bum anyway... thats as I saw it on here... you can blame Floyd for taking a vacation but taking the Mosley win away from him is just plain unfair.

              • this just sucks because it means we are going to see Pac Cotto II or Pac Margs which are both bull**** fights. Arum trying to make his own pockets bigger. I hate that ****.

                • Floyd arrogantly said that if Manny wants to fight just give a call, it's just a phone away.
Now Manny did it and he's nowhere to find. Money May ducks Pac, let's move on Roger will spend time in prison.

I thought I made myself clear that Mayweather is to blame this time around, if he sticks to his current stance. That said, that doesn't instantly take Pac off the hook for screwing up the fight the last time. I'm not a prisnor of the moment. Therefore, if this is the end of the story and the fight doesn't happen, I'll blame each equally, just like I blame Mayweather AND Cotto for their fight not happening.
Well that's weak and that's where we depart.

You're not a prisoner of the moment? Well I'm not a prisoner of indulging in the past. Your criticism of Floyd seems rather weak, almost dismissive because of Pacquiao's past actions, that's the problem. There was a time to focus on Pacquiao and his actions, this is the time to focus on Mayweather. Pacquiao did what he had to to make the fight this time around, no matter what his past stance was.
