I can understand that hes not long ago fought and just wants a rest before his next fight as long as this vacation isn't for 2 years again. Hasn't it been on record that Floyd has said he will probably be fighting in December? You think there might be a fight then or in May 11?

I am really dissapointed though, because this was a good chance of getting to see them fight, but if hes been on vacation then hes been on vacation... strangely we still don't know what was in the contract though, which I am still interested to see.

Hopefully Roger doesn't do any time too... that would really **** things up badly.

The narrative changes now, from debating drug testing to whether Floyd not wanting to fight at this moment is legitimate or not.

Personally I'd get off of this story and move on, there is nothing more to it.

not true at all, when floyd does wrong, he gets **** for it, by me especially--i have criticized floyd a lot, but when it's all you see, and many of it isn't justified, he has to have somebody defend him, especially if that person has legit arguments for him---not just excuses----i keep an open mind, but a lot of times floyd is not treated fair, and it's been this way for years----he gets into big fights on ppv, people say, well, it wasn't him who sold the fight, it was his opponents. wtf is that ****? as if he had no parts in that-----or, well, he beat this guy who was past his prime, but then manny does it, and oh my God, manny is the truth! or he retired when the division was redhot, only to comeback to fight a lightweight, but then one of those hot fighters gets found with paster in their wraps, and gets ko'ed by the guy who floyd waited too long to fight just a little over a year prior to floyd fighting him, floyd comes back and fights the numbr 2 p4p fighter in the sport at the time, albeit smaller, yes he was, but if we're going to hash floyd doing that, even though he was gone almost 2 years, then we have to bash b hop for fighting a guy 10 pounds over his weight class in pavlik, or fighting oscar at 160 or trinidad, or roy fighting tito----or de la hoya fighting manny-----or ruiz fighting jones---why is it that the smaller man can't lose in that situation, but the bigger man has nothing to win because he's the bigger man---and what does that say about manny fighting floyd? manny skipped 2 weight classes in 2008, late 2008 to fight oscar and dusted him, why couldn't floyd give jmm that chance---and believe me, his win over jmm isn't one of his best wins, not even close imo---but it was a great showing for a guy who was not in the sport for about 2 years and who suffered a rib injury, whether you believe it or not--------

people used to argue, well, jmm looked bad against juan diaz, so him moving up 2 weight classes, really only 7 pounds to fight floyd, who came in 2 pounds over the contracted weight was a huge disadvantage and unfair fight---but in turn, jmm put up a better fight than shane mosley did-----than clottey did against manny-----hell, than cotto did against manny-----then, floyd wants manny in march, for 50/50, and wants ost's for them both, and it's a huge conspiracy on manny? don't you think it would be a huge conspiracy on floyd also? what great champion would not prove to the world that he's a clean athlete and rub it in his opponent's face and take random ost's, no cutoffs, and floyd even compromised a 2 week cutoff, but manny walked away to fight the loser of the fight with his last opponent, in cotto----floyd fights the official ww champion, who manny picked to beat floyd and didn't want to fight at catchweights in 2009, only to fight clottey at 147---man the irony--


and manny doesn't get bashed by the media for this? it's hard not to defend floyd when all he gets is hated on by everyone it seems---but, i see past the bull****-----

Even though I am pissed off that the fight isn't happening, all of the constant **** talking is exausting anyway so at least we know whats what it a way. Just seems like two months has been wasted, you would have thought that Haymon would have just said hes on vecation so negotiate at a later date instead of keeping us in so much ****ing suspence.

I don't give a damn about Cotto at 140. Didn't you say in your first post that Floyd likes to let fights build so they get bigger, how was the fight going to be big at 140, when Floyd himself said that Cotto was still green? That's old talk, I don't even wanna get into that circle-jerk.

Point is, he ignored his biggest adversary at that time. Cotto on paper was his biggest opponent after the Judah, Mosley, Quintana wins (it doesn't matter what you think of those wins). A fight between two undefeated fighters, both having looked good in their recent fights, AS BIG AS IT GETS. It didn't happen, Cotto lost and the rest history.

Pacquiao is his new Cotto now, so Pac didn't agree the first time, big deal. One wrong doesn't make it right. All the focus was on Floyd this time, he asked for random drug tests, it appears he got it. You can't possibly defend this after all the RANDOM DRUG TESTING & MONEY SPLIT crusade you've been on.

Wasn't like Cotto was pushing for the fight to happen either.
Floyd was the Champ at 147 and Cotto wasn't. No once did

i dont blame him for wanting to spend time with his family, and he´s right, he just fought... I mean its not like the fans are going to MAKE him want this fight just when we want it, he deserves to take some time , he was in a big fight, which pacquiao avoided (mosley) so i think we are going to get this fight on 2011

I haven't been on any crusade buddy. I just haven't on the "one is scared/ducking/or any other hogwash" crusade as the majority. My point is that all everyone Mayweather has "avoided" has at one point bypassed a fight with him. So just because I don't selective criticize doesn't mean I don't see both sides of the fence.

Floyd ****ed up in this one. A lot of Pacquiao fans defended their guy to death in the first negotiations when they shouldn't have, why not be bigger and show you don't have to support a guys actions just because the other side defends their guy to no ends.
