@Thatnickuh, I understand yevskiy426's point though. I get on these forums alot because I am unemployed and bored alot of the time and I all I ever read from posters on here is that Floyd wants the fight, etc., etc. Now, granted, Floyd never stated that (I don't even think he mention Pacquiao by name after the Mosley fight) however he did imply things regarding him. Bottom line, it's sad to see promoters bust their asses to do everything they can to make a fight and have all terms agreed to (Al Haymon confirmed everything was agreed to) and then have the fighter say "I don't want to fight anytime soon!" I really think Roger is going down and spending time with him before prison makes sense, just like not wanting to fight the biggest fight in your life without your main trainer also makes perfect sense...

I don't worry about what some mutants say about Floyd ducking since The Lightweight Division, I'm just focusing on Floyd.

But where me and you disagree on is the "let things play out before passing judgement" statement. I gave Floyd the benefit of the doubt during the "silence" period and ignored Arum's chirping about Cotto & Margarito. That's me letting things play out.

After the Top Rank deadline, I still gave Floyd the benefit of doubt, that he was gonna come out real soon and just sign on to the fight out of nowhere. But that time is over now, he's released his statement, no complains about cutoff's for drug testing, no money issues, NOTHING. He's already been on a long break, it's time to put in work now. Pacquiao is his last real challenger of this generation, he gets this over with, then he is entitled & free to do whatever he wants, retire or cherry-pick whoever he wants for big paydays for the rest of his career.

Right now I can't help but think (based on past observations) that he is waiting for Pacquiao to **** UP and perhaps lose like Cotto did. In 2007 after the Hatton fight, the demand was for him to fight the undefeated Cotto. He told Larry Merchant that is taking time off and not gonna let the sport retire him. Fast foward a year & half later, Cotto got beaten up by Margarito, and Margarito got caught cheating. That's two birds killed without ever fighting either one of them.

What makes you think it isn't gonna be the same here. Pacquiao either wins his next one and retires, clearing the room for Floyd, or he losses clearing the room for Floyd. Or he looks horrible in a knockout, drag-out fight and Floyd jumps to sign the fight. That's the way it's looking right now from this side of the fence. HE DID IT ALL TO HIMSELF.

You're just jumping the gun buddy. You're just a victim of the microwave society we live in. Mayweather never said he didn't want to fight anyone. Hell, you know yourself that he tried to fight Cotto at 140. So exactly why is he the one who takes the most of the blame for the fight not happening? Same with now. Mayweather-Pacquaio would have already happen had Pac not acted such an ass about the drug testing. So if the fight doesn't happen, both are to blame. I personally don't get why people think Mayweather is obligated to fight these guys when its convenient for them. Guys pick and choose when they will and won't fight him too. But when Money doesn't jump when they say how high, he's a coward, p*ssy, and all that other nonsense. Pac backed out the first time, it appears Money is backing out this time. Both are to blame.

I've been telling him this for awhile now. At one point it was constructive criticism, nothing to get upset about.

But he still insists that all his lengthy posts are indisputable fact and that one shouldn't focus on his writing style. For christ sake, when you don't have any consideration for the reader, what do you expect.

I feel sorry for the guy. He's obviously trying very hard considering how freaking long his posts are. It's not even just the writing style, but the writing itself. He could have summed everything up in 2 or 3 short paragraphs. I am no English major, but I read and write a lot and it really hurts my eyes reading something so sloppy.

if he doesn't want to fight so he can take more time off for his family or whatever, that's his right. but as a businessman and a professional, the right thing to do would have been to at least give an answer. floyd can do whatever he wants. but he does come off like a arrogant bastard sometimes "i just fought 60 days ago". we should all be lucky enough to take 2 month vacations or only have to work once a year.
