bottom line is that ALL PROMOTERS need to put their fighters against the BEST instead of giving them the best match up for them to have a better chance to win

Anyway, I think it's better that one or two promoters monopolize all the fighters, that way it's easier for fights to get signed. Two rivals in the same stall are much more likely to sign than from different promoters.
no way, that totally takes away from great match ups ever getting made. if fighters only fight guys that are only in their promotional group, then that cuts out half of what is available. that doesn't make any sense, especially with the mind set of guys not fighting other fighters from the rival promoters.

bottom line, match makers, promoters, fighters, and their teams, need to put fights together that further their fighters career, their career, and fulfill the obligation to the ticket and ppv buying fans, and that is make the best match ups possible, forget a monopoly, history has shown that monopolies only breed mediocrity..........

and as for being a "drone" good god dude, open up your mind, alex jones is the only guy that shoots it straight as far as news is concerned, he has the most credible guests on his show that are reputable and know what they're talking about. now as for jones delivery, that is another story, he can be too much at times and rowdy if you will in his delivery but, his content is on point. either way, the main and most important part and that also deals with boxing, is to get people to THINK instead of react, because a reaction its already too late.

Would anyone pay $50-$60 to watch Tim Bradley fight anyone not named Pacquiao or Mayweather? If you're sitting on that kind of talent and you can only get them half-assed arenas and mediocre fights and the public at large has no idea who you're fighters are... then you aren't that great of a promoter.

Shaw needs to stop trying to piggyback on other promoters hard work and actually, you know, promote his fighters. If Bradley wants the big fights, he should sign up with Top Rank or GBP and move from 2,000 seat Agua Caliente Casino to 50,000 seat Dallas Cowboys Stadium or the MGM Grand.

        Just a thought.
i'm just commenting on palm springs and bradley fighting at indian casino's. first off it's a building process, and as of right now that is where they're building him up, and as for attendance, i know a lot of people who were going to go out there when he was fighting maidana, at least when it was first proposed, but after that fell through only a few were considering it, but the one main factor that kept them from going out there was the timing, it's at least 115' degrees out there right now, and can easily reach 120', i know because my family lives out there in la quinta, nobody really like that tye of weather........ it's a hard sell, vegas doesn't get that hot and if it does, there are way more places to hide out at than palm springs........ just sayin.

yep yep, the double standard people either don't want to see or don't see, either way, you make a perfect irrefutable factual point............

shaw is a greasy scumbag, of course he is a promoter, whats new there?

People fail to forget that he tried his damdest to make Darchinyan vs Marquez, but Rafa is a proud warrior which is why he is facing Lopez instead.
i have to say, the gbp fight on the 31st is a really good card, i can't really criticize that card................ theyre making good match ups, but it also looks like they might be trying to clean house with this type card.

one thing i can be a critic about with gbp's is that they're ppv's usually suck ass and give us the bare minimum, after they've seen their numbers drop and other promotions go up due to better match ups and giving the fans more, they're starting to step it up, hopefully the trend continues to across the board with all promoters.

Bradley's challenge 2 Pacquiao was so lame. Lol. He would get destroyed by Manny. Young Devon would whip his ass 2. He has some work 2 do at 140 so I don't wanna hear this dude, he's a ****ing clown. Shaw 2. He got a point about Top Rank & Golden Boy keepin **** in house though. Can't lie.
