Is thread really headed towards Floyd vs. Margarito???

Tony hasnt spoke Floyds name since 2007. I dont even think hes said word that sounded like Floyd in about 3 years.

Impossible??? You haven't paid attention to 5 out of Manny's last 6 negotiations then,eh? The fights with Oscar, Cotto, Hatton, and Floyd have all been called off at some point due to "the people's champ" Manny wanting more money. Manny is every bit as money hungry as Floyd,he just slaps on a smile and plays humble little man to the public.

You would be hard pressed to find many negotiations where Floyd acts as greedy as Manny.

Funny how the Pac fans forget this.

More dangerous Hatton?? Hindsight is 20-20 lets not act like Hatton-Floyd wasnt a mega fight. Dont kill Floyd for doing the sme stuff Pac does. Lets be consistent.

He told Marg he'd fight him when its a bigger fight. In other words when Marg made himself a name. He didnt. He lost to Paul Williams. No fight.

Floyd made insane money with Oscar and Hattona dn the little cash Marg offered couldnt light a candle to it. Thats why it didnt happen. I wish it did Marg wouldve lost 12-0.
When Marg challenged him it was Floyd biggest payday at the time. If somebody challenges Pac and offers him a biggest payday of his career and Pac turns then we can talk... That is being consistent.

Floyd could of asked for an extension but didn't. Floyd was asked to fight Marg in August of 2006 with a career high payday. And, giving Floyd time to fight Marg and still buyout his contract. But, supposedly Floyd injured his hand in the Judah fight. But, there was no medical reports or any evidence that he hurt his hand. He could of asked for an extension fight Marg in November of 2006 and then get his buyout but he didn't.

When Marg did make a big name Floyd was not itching to comeback. Sure fight the big money fight in 2007 with Oscar and Hatton. That was not my point. My point was that you talking about P-Will lost. You talking about Floyd said get a bigger name. But, you not looking at the timeline. Floyd "retired" after Oscar. Cameback and signed to fight Hatton. Not once was his priority EVER to fight Margarito. For whatever reason. I am not really knocking Floyd in 2007 for not fighting him even though it was clear as day that he would never fight. But, in 2006?

Same reason Berto hasnt fought Williams. Hopefully something happens to where it can but its doubtful.
But, does P-Will not know that they have the same manager?

Does P-Will not know it is very unlikely that Haymon would put them in the ring together?

Because, if he does know that then P-Will is just selling wolf tickets by calling out a fighter that he knows business wise he would never get in the ring.

Nah, Burner is alright. It is just in some issues he see's things as black and white. And, most of the times is not like that.

actaully, floyd wanted out of his contract since Arum wouldnt give him the fights for the price he was asking.

He had the exact same offer on the table to fight Baldomir. He chose the same money and a Lineal Title and we kill him for that? I watch you talk about Lineal titles all the time on this site.

And actually Pac did turn down the biggest payday of his career last January. Only to come back with the very same offer he turned down to fight Clottey.

Why in Gods name would he extend his deal with Arum? They broke up for a reason. Floyd had his eyes on big money fights with Oscar and Ricky. Him and Arum had all kinds of beef. We know this stuff. Maybe he was hurt? Maybe he wanted to fight Spinks at 154? Maybe he wanted to fight for the Lineal Title at 147?

He fought for the Lineal WW Championship in 2006. Cant knock him for that. No matter how we spin it.

I wish it wouldve happened so people can see how big of a disaster it would be for Margarito to share a ring with Floyd.
