Well he was the recognized Cruiserweight champion.

Generally if you are the recognized champion in a weight class you can move up and get a title shot from the champ in the next weight class, if that title holder agrees to it.

      It's been done countless times.

This is the path most of us wanted him to take, instead he's made himself look like a **** by calling them out and not facing them.

I'd like to see him face 2 or 3 solid top 10 guys before he took on a Klitschko. Adamek is a must but i don't mind who else he faces.

Co-sign, nobody on this can **** with Mikes knowledge, not only has watched old fighters like Dempsey, Tunney, Ali etc hundereds of times but he's also been there and done it. Nobody on any forum or any journo can **** with that.

Very true, the haters forget that. He is ducking the Klits though, it's a shame cos I think he'd beat them both but maybe he should fight Adamek first, he'd stop him in 5 rounds

Interesting. You'd have expected him to tell Haye to grow a pair.

haye isnt fighting anyone right now

this might well be the biggest waste of someone's prime in the history of the sport

panda doesnt even care whether or not he fights a klitschko, he could fight antonio margarito in mexico for all panda cares, just fight someone HAYE

Tyson is stating the way it 'used' to be. Remember Holyfield, moved up to the heavyweight division and had 7 heavyweight fights before getting a title shot. It would have been a couple less if Tyson's ribs didn't get injured and he didn't get wrongly convicted of ****, setting up the Blubber Douglas showdown...
