Comments Thread For: Mike Tyson Tells David Haye To Avoid Klitschkos For Now

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has advised WBA champion David Haye to avoid fights with the Klitschko brothers for the moment. He says Haye needs to establish himself in the heavyweight division by fighting the up and coming contenders before making a fight with either Wladimir or Vitali Klitschko. [Click Here To Read More]

I agree with Iron Mike, Haye is not ready for the Klitschkos but he made himself look bad by calling them out knowing that he is not ready to fight them

In all honesty it would make the division popular again if Haye did go active, fought and beat Adamek, Arreola and Peter, and then beat Vitali. I dont think he can beat vitali, I think Vitali would be long retired by then, this is fantasy, but if he could do all that, and Wlad beat like Povetkin, Solis, Dimi and Tua or something in that span it would set up a huge fight Wlad vs. Haye 2012. The winner of that match, for all the belts, would finally unite the HW division, one clear champ, who beat the certifiable next best. Guys could no longer fight bums and wait for a shot at Wlad, Vitali or Haye and get paid, theyd actually have to fight for their shot, hence the division would improve as well.

I wanted Haye to take this route at first, fighting the top contenders in the division then going after a Klitschko. It's the only way he deserves a fight against one of them, he can't get one straight away based on his CW merits.

I hope he fights someone like Arreola next, then Adamek. Then after a Klitschko.

Poor Mike. Still dumb as a box of petrified wolf turds. Mike is a cautionary tale. The Klitchkos have been exposed by Haye. Haye is the future. haye is THE Champion.

To me it's not even about deserving... but about being ready as a heavyweight.

Why take the one guy with ANY potential to beat one of them, and fight them in your first few fights as a heavyweight.

                  He needs to establish himself.

Get used to the weight, fight the other top contenders and work on your game as a new heavyweight force.

Hey, I definitely want to see a mix up in the division, but the later the fight happens the better Haye has a chance..

Adamek, Arreola, Tua, Povetkin, Ibragimov... any of these guys.

Mike is a genius in the game. He knows the history of the sport better than anyone on this site aside from maybe 2 or 3 people.
