Comments Thread For: Pacquiao-Margarito/Cotto Location To Be Decided Soon

If Floyd Mayweather Jr. fails to accept a proposal to face WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, the location for the Filipino fighter's next bout could be decided by this coming Monday, according to adviser Michael Koncz. Mayweather has until the end of Friday to accept a deal to fight Pacquiao on November 13 in Las Vegas. If no agreement is reached with Mayweather, then Pacquiao will turn his attention to fighting either Antonio Margarito or Miguel Cotto. [Click Here To Read More]

If this is a smokescreen it's the best one I've ever seen. Because it sure looks to me like Top Rank has no intentions of facing Mayweather.

Pacquiao winning another belt, against another guy coming off another knockout loss. And it will proberbly be at another catchweight.

How can you be a fan of this?

This is how any successful business operates, it's called a contingency plan, not allowing yourself to become beholden to a decision that seems to be on "tape delay".

I was wondering this myself. Then I remembered Bob Arum explaining to Dan Rafael why he bought the WBC silver belt trash for Duddy-Chavez: "I might need him (WBC president Jose Sulaiman) one day."

Well I guess that day is fast coming.

Haha.. "WE SENT MAYWEATHER THE CONTRACT, ITS UP TO HIM TO SIGN IT". So much for the gag order.. already setting the foundation in blaming Mayweather to advertently shift all the criticisms of Pac fighting two washed up fighters. How Pac's team is even considering fighting Cotto is beyond me and same goes for Margarito. Looks like Arum wants to milk the most money possible out of Pac until he faces Mayweather which he will lose and retire.
