The thing is he has to move up because he can't make weight. I expect him to move up from 135 in a year. If he would box more than he slugs it out he can be very successful even at higher weights. Morales is very skilled but would rather fight than box most times. To answer the question, Morales would be overall the better fighter when it's all said and done. Barrera just has his number in my opinion.Originally posted by GodzHandMorales is going to be a serious legend by the time his career is over, as long as he knows when to stop moving up in weight. I'm not exactly a fan of his, but I can recognize talent and accomplishments.Comment

i didnt know he was having trouble making weight, do you think he'll go all the way to 140? Barrera put on a clinic in their third fight, but I want to see him fight Pacquiao again, not a 4th match between Erik and him.Comment

He more than likely can make 135 easy now but in a year I wouldn't be surprised if he does think about moving up to 140. When he first went up to 130 he made weight easy then it started becoming difficult for him.Originally posted by GodzHandi didnt know he was having trouble making weight, do you think he'll go all the way to 140? Both guys have created their own legacies, both have won multiple belts from 122-130, both have fought the very best competition....I'm a huge Barrera fan and an El Horible hater, but I must say that their in-ring accomplishments are damn near equalComment

Defintely Morales, i dont even think Barrera won the last two fights against him so in my mind Morales is undefeated. He's also fought and beaten better opponents. I dont think Barrera's win over Naz was that brilliant, Naz didnt take the fight seriously enough for it to be considered a big win.Comment

You really dont think Barrera won the 3rd fight? I thought that one was the easiest to score for MAB...Originally posted by elveielDefintely Morales, i dont even think Barrera won the last two fights against him so in my mind Morales is undefeated. It was Naz's fault and it was a good win for Barrera but in terms of legacy Barrera caught Naz on a bad night. He probably would have won if Naz was in good shape but that's not how it happened.Originally posted by mic573If Hamed didn't take the fight serious then that's his fault. It shouldn't take away from Barrera's victory.Comment

Maybe it because Barrera bores me, i think Morales is more aggressive and thats very important when i score a fight. all the fights were really close but i think Morales was slighty more effective.Originally posted by sisforshaqYou really dont think Barrera won the 3rd fight? EDIT: i score effective aggression highly, not just aggression.Last edited by elveiel; 07-10-2005, 06:36 PM.Comment
