a green, one-handed, wild swinger/brawler, mid 20's Pacquiao faced a #1 featherweight in his absolute PRIME (JMM), and top 5 p4p fighter in 2004. he knocked his ass down 3 times in one round, and should've earned a victory by a point (judging error ended up a draw instead of a microscopically close 1 point SD). IMO, the fight should've been a 1 point victory for Pacquiao...even though Manny was outclassed by a much better opponent in his prime.

Put the Manny Pacquiao with 5 years under Freddie Roach, rewind to 2004, and match up current Manny with 2004 JMM at 126lbs and Manny stops JMM.

you cant improve if you dont get practice against the style that troubles you. yo uhave to fight to learn that style.

pac has been fighting fighters that cater to his style

Pacquiao is a cleaner more accurate fighter with a brutal right hook now. His right hook wasn't much untill pretty much the Hatton fight.

Watch Pac-JMM II again. It's the same ****ing guy. Only thing is that when he gets tagged often, he gets flustered...like any other fighter.

Pacquiao actually hasnt gotten that much better, honestly. His arsenal from the 2nd JMM fight and today is more or less the same, although he is a little bit sharper.

                  his gameplans are smarter though.

I think manny has improved a lot but he has also been fighting the same type of fighter the past few fights
the only counter puncher he has fought was Clottey and we all saw Clottey take a dive so until he fights Floyd or Bradley or JMM we have yet to really see how much he has improved
but bottom line is he has improved
