I was going to make a post about this same topic, but decided to check to see if anyone had already created one. I agree with you. I don't think Lopez has what it takes to beat Marquez based on his fights that I have seen. Marquez is a little long in the tooth, but I see Marquez winning by KO by the 6th or 7th round. It could end sooner. Lopez is not as good as his hype.Comment

Juanma is a very good offensive fighter but his defense is horrible and he keeps making the same mistakes, with that being said, I still see Juanma having the upper hand, Rafa does not have the best chin (he was rocked several times at 118), he will be the smaller fighter and I believe the triology will have an effect.
The only way Rafa could win is if he patiently boxes, does not get into wild exchanges (like he did with Vazquez), takes Juanma into deeper waters and capitalizes on Juanma's common mistakes.Comment

Let's just hope that the fight will be on regular cable instead of PPV. I disagree with you, but I think it will be a good fight. However, it is not PPV worthy.Juanma is a very good offensive fighter but his defense is horrible and he keeps making the same mistakes, with that being said, I still see Juanma having the upper hand, Rafa does not have the best chin (he was rocked several times at 118), he will be the smaller fighter and I believe the triology will have an effect.

Nah, if you watch his fights before Vazquez, he's naturally inclined to fight at a slower pace and counter punch from a distance. If your chin is good enough and you're brave enough to keep eating P4P level power, he'll keep dishing it out.But Que we all know that Rafa's mentality always leads him to get into shootouts, which at this stage in his career against JuanMa he can't afford. I want Rafa to break JuanMa off more than anybody but I dont see it at this stage in his career against a younger fighter with less wear and tear. I agree with most of your points though homie, but I just see JuanMa pressuring Rafa too much for rafa to stay in counter punch mode. And when Rafa is pressured he tries to fight through the pressure and not smother it.
The problem is I'm not sure Juanma will be able or want to eat the shots Izzy had to, to be able to close distance and stay there.
People forget that Rafa had 1 punch KO power at 118 and IMO he brought it up with him, but hasn't really been able to show it because of his opponent.Comment

Nah Marquez is pretty gone at the moment so he won't beat this hungry Juanma. Should be good while it lasts though.Comment
